  Great location, good apartment, but.....

  We stayed here a few months ago and really enjoyed it. The apartment is still very nice but there were shortcomings. When we stayed last time in June, the internet was poor and kept dropping out, several times per hour. I contacted the owner mid stay. I assumed that it would be fixed for our second visit but was very disappointed to find that it was as bad, if not worse. For the last couple of days, we could get not get a connection that lasted more than 2 minutes on any of our 4 devices. We had to go to cafes to get internet access. Also there were several other faults. Each one was small in itself but they soon added up. There was a power point with no power which I found out when my phone did not charge. One of the pairs of lights over the kitchen area worked for 20 seconds and then stopped and once lit up with the switch off and then went out. The corkscrew was broken so we had to go and get a new one. There was a small drip leak under the bathroon sink, (not so bad now but still there) and a bedside light did not work, which I eventually sorted when I worked out how to remove the shade. The bed only had one pillow each; we needed two each The floormop handle was almost broken in two. There was only one wine glass. We would have liked more than one mug each.

  Decepción

  No pudimos llevar nuestro equipaje ya que no hay ascensor y tiene solo una estrecha y difícil escala caracol la cual no daba el ancho para subirlas, siendo ademas un tercer piso . El hotel envió un mail avisando pero 2 días antes y nosotras habíamos salido de nuestro país dos semanas antes y con 2 maletas cada una, en esos casos deberían permitir anular la reserva. Dpto bien ubicado pero con desagües mal olientes que tienen el dpto entero hediondo, la cama es un catre y el cubrecama le queda chico, la ducha muy pequeña y se moja el baño completo, no recomendable.

  Fantastic location

  Well its not perfect but we had a great stay there. The stairs are steep and not suited to anyone with mobility issues. It does get some street noise through the night but that did not bother us The drains can smell occassionally but I think that is from the river The shower room is small but adequate But Wow, the location more than makies up for the minor issues. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking implements and a microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine. We hardly used them but I imagine if you stayed a week they would be useful. The view over the river on one side and the street at the other is great for people watching and feeding the ducks and fish. There is a supermarket and wine shop next door. Lovely friendly staff. A couple of pubs not 20 yards away all with food and drink. The host, a young lady was very welcoming and the free wifi was great. Its in a great spot for a city break and they supplied a street map and any help we needed finding our way around. Well worth a visit.

  Awesome Apartment!

  We werent sure of what we were really going to get but we were very happily surprised! We arrived almost 2 hours late for check in but our guy was there waiting for us! He was tired but helped us in and with our bags non the less! Very impressed that he hoofed our heavy bags up those amazing steps! Way to go Ivour! He was friendly, full of information about the area & the apartment. The unit was a one bedroom with a balcony (tiny) that overlooked the river in the back & street in the front. Apartment was perfectly located in the smack of Old Town Girona with everything you need & more at ones fingertips! The apartment was spacious, clean and comfy. Pretty well supplied too as we like to eat in rather than go out. We loved the apartment area and people! The city is amazing and being right there was so wonderful! Would I stay here again? Absolutely! We loved it! Only caution is the staircase is not suitable for persons who can not walk up, as it is extremely narrow and fairly steep (no lift). We loved the apartment and the area! Well done ivour and Girona Cool Apartments! You made our first visit to Spain amazing!
