Family HolidayExcellent Hotel, we actually stayed in the Villa which is a short walk from the main Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is a short drive from Sorrento but the Hotel supply a free shuttle bus throughout the day. There is a village which is a short walk from the Hotel which has some excellent restaurants if you do not want to eat in the Hotel or travel to Sorrento. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Our annual destination for a relaxing holidayWe have been visiting Sant'Agata and Sorrento for about six years now and we always stay at either the Villa Romita or its parent hotel the Grand Hermitage. William and Renato - together with their team (the staff rarely change) - run a terrific hotel with the most relaxed and personable service. They treat us like old friends but to be honest they were just as friendly on our first visit as they have been on all our subsequent trips. The pool is a good size and well managed; and there is a pool area lunch bar in addition the main dining room and hotel bar. We tend to eat out in the evenings but there is a good dinner selection for those who take full board; and the breakfast buffet is extensive. Sant' Agata itself is only a few minutes walk through a private pathway and has all you need including excellent value places to eat as well as a michelin starred restaurant. The only thing William can't control is the weather; but everything around the hotel runs very efficiently; and the staff are without exception very friendly and helpful. It ticks all the boxes and that's why we keep coming back.

Definitely would recommend! We recently stayed at villa romita who are partnered with hotel hermitage (approx 150m away from one another). We found the hotel staff to all be very friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely spacious and had a nice outdoor terrace. The bathroom was a good size and very clean! The hotel offers a shuttle service down to sorrento (approx 10km away) which you can book at reception each day and was very handy. The public buses also run frequently and stop right outside the hotel, just incase the hotel shuttle times don't work with you schedule. We also found both the tours we booked had a hotel pick up and drop off service which was fantastic! Sant'Agata was only a short 5 min walk away (using a path behind villa romita) and had a few nice places to choose from for dinner. The only criticism we had was the staff at breakfast each morning coming up to ask us our room number, whilst we were eating. We found it a bit rude to be interrupted each morning and would have preferred to just be asked upon entering the restaurant. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting sorrento, just be aware it isn't centrally located however as previously mentioned the shuttle service made up for this!
