  Family Holiday

  We stayed here in August as a family of 4. 2 adults, 2 children (age 7 and a baby). We asked for a family room with a mountain view. We got a family room..... but up a flight of stairs with no ramp or lift.... this was a massive inconvenience with a baby and a pram. Also it was more of a garden view from the veranda. However, the actual buildings of apartments were nice and so were the actual hotel grounds. Food was nice and there was a different theme every night. Chinese night was our favourite. The staff were very accommodating also. The kids loved the pools, theres a small baby pool and a large pool close together then another large pool where they did activities and 2 water slides. There were plenty of sunbeds which we thought was great as there was another family of friends in the same hotel as us. We had a great holiday but my major points that brought the stars down were baby related..... there was one baby change in the whole hotel and it was only in the womens toilets..... so not very good if a male member of the family went to change a baby. Also the room, i just dont understand why you would put a family of 4 with a baby up a flight of stairs. Overall a good stay but wouldnt have done more than a week.

  Summer hols 2019

  Just returned from 10 night stay here. Overall very pleased with the accommodation and services provided. Staff all friendly and willing to help. Food was lovely, kitchen and restaurant staff are really well organized, always plenty to eat, and food replenished as soon it got low. A good choice available at all meals, considering the number of people they had to feed every mealtime they all did very well. Wine at lunchtime and dinner was good quality as were soft drinks and cocktails. Overall a good value for money holiday. Only slight snag was when we arrived our room had been double booked so we had to spend our first night in another resort, which was a shame. The matter was dealt with very sympathetically and professionally, however it did mean we lost the enjoyment of day 1 of our holiday, so for this reason I cannot give the hotel 5 stars. Accommodation wise, the bungalow was very clean, had everything we needed, bathroom a bit tired, but apparently they are going to be doing some upgrading work soon. Liked the seaview, and the well kept gardens and palm trees make it feel quite tropical.

  Good value for money

  We stayed last week in a bungalow with a partial sea view on an all inclusive deal. Everything was very good or excellent. Staff could not be faulted. Always a smile, extremely fast service, our room was always kept very clean by our maid and the animation team worked their socks off for the kids - of which there were a lot... The food was very good, if not marvellous, but catering for so many people must be a real challenge. Always mountains to eat throughout the day. Special mention to the crepe man by the pool bar. Beer and wine is literally on tap. Not too strong but cold and wet so that was good as there was no waiting to get served if you were thirsty. Our room was fine but the patio lock was a real challenge and there was about a 3 inch gap at one side, so the wind howled through it when it was windy - but the sea view was lovely. The bathroom was a bit tired and I managed to flood the floor the first time I used the shower attachment due to my not setting the shower curtain properly - haven't had one of them in a hotel for a long time... The pools were beautiful with plenty of sunbeds around, but as usual they seemed to be 'taken' first thing in the morning with towels just left and no one in sight for hours. It didn't bother us as we spent a lot of our time on the beach and there were always plenty of available sunbeds there. The beach is wonderful. And that's about it. A very well run place which I would recommend - espacially for families.

  Nothing is too much trouble

  2nd visit to this hotel and had such a brilliant time. We had a major issue with the room the night we arrived which could not be sorted due to arriving around midnight, however the next morning the staff could not have been more helpful. We were moved to another room, upgraded to a room almost overlooking the beach bar and pool. if we could have had our pick of any room, the one we had would have been our choice! No fighting over sunbeds, all the ground floor bungalows have 2 sunbeds with umbrella as well as table and chairs. As the room we were given was so close to the beach bar, it was lovely being able to stay outside our own room and just saunter over for either drinks or a crepe in the afternoon! Food is good, with an excellent choice. For breakfast every morning, you had the option of a freshly made fruit smoothie in addition to the normal fruit juices. All meals had a good choice and if you wanted you could eat almost continually from breakfast until midnight. As well as the 3 main meals, both pool bars had snacks available from 10.30 until midday, then again from 2.30 until 5 and again at the bar outside the restaurant from 11.30 pm until midnight - if that isn't enough there is always the shop for things like crisps and chocolate! It's an ideal place for a relaxing break, but the bus terminus for Kos Town is outside the hotel on the beach road should you wish to explore the Island further. All in all, a brilliant 10 day holiday

  Great holiday

  Loved our time at Grecotel Royal Park. On arrival we found that the hotel had upgraded us as we had requested a ground floor room due to having an uncontrollable toddler, however the standard doubles were all first and second floor. We ended up with a family bungalow which although a little on the tired side, was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The food was amazing, we love eating out in Greece but honestly felt we didn't miss out in any way. Plus it seemed to always be on offer...whether breakfast, snacks, lunch, crepes, cake, ice creams whenever you wanted. Just lovely. Beer, soft and hot drinks had to be poured yourself and everything else came from the bar. The pool areas and beach were lovely and clean. It was about 10 minutes walk along the beach road to Marmari or you could get the bus just out the back of the hotel that went to Tigaki and Kos Town. Taxi to Tigaki was about 12 each way. Animation team were fab and had entertainment each night we were there but usually done by half nine. A few times a week there was entertainment at the pool bar but not every night. We hired a car but used Kombos Rental rather than the hotels rental company as there was a 45 difference in the daily rate for the same vehicle. The shop was also extremely expensive but there are shops in Marmari for provisions. Previously we've been to Pefkos and Stalis, which in all honesty we do prefer as Marmari is very quiet and doesn't have the restaurants and bars with play areas that we would like with little ones. There are some suitable bars in Tigaki though which were brill. The only reasons for 4 stars would be that you are a little isolated being out of the village but this is purely personal....it is a great get away from it all AI resort. Overall though a great family holiday, would recommend and return.
