  Married here - Very happy with our stay

  We arrived early for check in following a long journey the staff were very helpful giving us a time for us to return when our room would be ready and our answering last minute wedding questions and contacting the team who we booked our wedding with on our behalf for them to call us too. Once checked in we were happy with our room and able to utilise the facilities for getting ready for our wedding in addition to taking some DIY wedding photos. The room where we married is in a building separate from the main hotel however it was very easy to find. We had a just us 2 person wedding therefore the lovely wedding planner Lesley acted as a witness along with the photographer which we hired separately. There are plenty of places in the grounds of the hotel to give a variety of back drops for pictures. As part of our wedding package we had a 3 course celebratory meal and breakfast in bed . For our evening meal staff had decorated our table to make it special (especially in the absence of guests) and were lovely the whole of our stay. Could not fault the food or our stay here - we have nothing but lovely memories of our wedding day here. Thank you.

  Shopping trip

  Came here on the Friday nite about 9pm when we were driving up the drive way we were very happy. Loads of parking spaces. Went in and checked in on reception the girl was really helpful gave us a number for a takeaway as the restaurant had just closed. Room was lovely and spacious. Went down for breakfast and was lovely we were staying for 2 nights all the staff were nice. Hotel was lovely inside will defo return.

  Gretna hall wedding

  We stayed in the sheridan grant suite for 2 nights, really spacious room with sitting room, 2 large tvs, fridge, air conditioning,dressing table and plenty of storage, lovely room, bed so comfortable this was a super king bed. Bathroom has a lovely shower. We was getting married in the cottage so I stayed here for 2 nights and my partner came here on the day of the wedding. Lovely hotel very clean, restaurant is nice,staff very helpful, my only moan is when i had my wedding dress there was no where to hang it up due to length, at their other hotel Greens it has special brackets on wall to hang your dress, I had to compromise with taking a hanger off rail and getting my luggage strap and, attaching it to the curtain pole, this I will be suggesting they do, would be so much better. That is really my only moan which is unusual! Breakfast is good and dinner is, I had steak pie with mash and my partner had the lasagne, we both had the duo of cheesecakes which I have taken a picture of, this was a,stunning dessert Would 100% recommend this for a stay and wedding as there are 3 different venues.Also the coronation chicken triple sandwich is banging so much meat in it

  Married @ Grenta court yard stayed in bridal suite in Gretna hall hotel

  Absolutely great placed to get married, we had our poriginal wedding moved twice due to covid but really wanted a 2020 wedding so decided to book grenta green and honestly wish had of just done that from the start. we only had close family (10 of us) and the whole experience was great especially with current restrictions the place felt normal. honestly if your thinking about booking a gretna wedding id do it 10/10

  Excellent on all levels hotel saves the wedding day

  Firstly, can I say that every single member of staff at The Gretna Hall Hotel are so helpful, polite, courteous, attentive and professional from reception through to cleaning staff - absolutely everyone. Nothing is too much trouble, any requests are dealt with in a very timely manner and the room service is fabulous. The hotel itself is wonderful. The original building is welcoming whilst retaining an old-world feel. The lounge area is comfortable and airy with a modern style restaurant towards the rear, via the bar area. Our standard room was pristine clean, as is the entire hotel, with plenty of room for two. The usual items were there tea, coffee, biscuits, tv along with hairdryer and iron. Plenty of towels, shower gel and handwash were located within the bathroom which also had bath/shower. The breakfast was lovely with table service that is attentive without being overbearing. You also receive the same service in the restaurant later in the day and I can honestly say that the food is amazing. It may be a cliché but compliments to the Chefs, everybodys food in our party was devoured with glee. My steak will live on in my memory for ever it was so good, honestly. Most importantly I must thank everyone at the hotel for their exceptional customer service, especially on Friday (20/11/20), when collectively they saved my daughters Wedding Day. Our point of reference was Vikki who leapt into action when she was made aware that plans had basically fallen apart (wedding at 2pm, Vikki is initially made aware at 8am!!) Everybody pulled together like superheroes to give my Daughter and Son-in-law the reception they deserved something they thought was never going to happen, especially after having to rearrange once already. I am not understating this when I say that I will be indebted to Vikki and all the staff for the rest of my life you saved my daughters wedding thank you so, so much. Our stay was between 19-21/11/20 and it most certainly will not be our last. Any future holidays in Scotland will definitely be based from The Gretna Hall Hotel.
