  Excellent evening and excellent service despite the pandemic!

  We revisited the Hadley Bowling Green Inn on Tuesday night (during the pandemic) and we were impressed at the service, including being able to get a meal despite high demand created by the government restaurant scheme. Our room really big and comfortable and breakfast was pre-ordered and excellent. Chris the manager was very helpful, understanding and provided great service. Given the difficult regime in which the team had to work, we felt they were well organised and did extremely well - and that made for a great visit in difficult circumstances. We're very much looking forward to visiting the area again, and will now try other Wadworth pubs to see whether they can emulate the service provided the guys at the Bowling Green Inn.

  First time visit for me and my partner after hearing about the food from a local A warm and very friendly welcome from a man I assume to be the manager. Excellent Covid measures in place with all staff wearing face coverings and the offer of sanitation when entering. (We had to wait behind the gate to be seated). We were informed of the safety measures in place upon entering and advised of the way in and way out. Drinks order was taken promptly and given to us on a tray for us to take. Food was of excellent quality and very tasty. Overall a really enjoyable experience. You can see the staff working very hard to keep to the guidelines and we felt very safe. Well done to all we will be back.

  Great Stay, Great COVID controls

  We use this hotel lots when up and seeing family. The staff worked extremely hard to ensure everyone was able to enjoy their experience but while maintaining clear measures and controls. Great cleaning measures in place, all staff wearing masks, all the time. Well done

  Disappointing

  Been here on several occasions but it seems to be getting worse. The staff were pleasant but waited a long time for the food considering it was quiet. Main course was disappointing. Ribeye was tough and came undercooked but didn't want to complain as we were out with family and didn't want to spoil our evening. Also the salad garnish looked tired. Also a very limited menu. Sticky toffee pudding was good.

  Stop off

  Decided to stop off on our way to Somerset. Great room (9) which had been refurbished since we were last there. Great selection of wines, champagne and beers for our pre dinner drinks. Breakfast was nice and cooked to order. Excellent stop off.
