  Great Experience

  We checked in without a reservation after missing the last bus to the top of Mt Emei where we did have reservations for the night. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful start to finish. They invited us to view the room prior to booking. The bathroom was large and spacious. The room was fairly clean by Chinese standards. The meal served for dinner in the lobby area was very good. When we inquired after a nearby spa for a massage late in the evening, they lined up a couple of masseuses to come to our room. Best head-to-foot massageI might have ever been given. The bed was a little too firm for my liking, but overall a great stay!

  Great location for a hiking adventure on Emei Mountain and hot springs

  Very simple but nice hotel with large rooms and private large bathrooms. The wall to wall windows provides with a lot of light and in my case I was lucky to get a room at the 5th floor with amazing views of Emei Mountain! I love it! No elevators, but the wonderful employees helped me to bring my luggage upstairs and 4 days later, helped me to bring it down too. Kiven is one of the managers or owner, and he is extremely helpful! He kindly helped me to book my return bullet train ticket to Chengdu, and also to book my visit to the wonderful hot springs... do not miss a visit to the gorgeous hot springs! The location of this hotel is awesome, is two blocks away from the main office to purchase the tickets to enter the National Park and also to get the bus tickets and to take the bus that takes you up the mountain main gates. Less than half a block away from many restaurants and shops. The tea shops are wonderful and the prices are reasonable too. I want to specially mention that the staff at the hotel are very friendly but specially there is a very young lady, she was working at the desk a few times and she was exceptionally efficient and professional. She doesnt speak English well, but uses her phone to translate (as one other older employees did in there) but this young lady was kinder, respectful, and honestly nicer. She should be the general manager when Kiven is away... she is a very hard worker and went above and beyond to guide me and help me in a place where nobody speaks English, and she always did it with a smile and no other interest than helping! I would go back to this little hotel!

  Not as good as mentioned by the reviews

  Booked this hotel due to the many good reviews. However, if you are staying for more than 1 night, there are many other hotels around. On friday night, they have loud music, VERY LOUD conversations and we have to wake up next morning at 4am to go up to emeishan peak. Ur room is on 2nd floor and we can hear EVERYTHING. Also attached 2 pics and you can decide if you want to book this hotel.

  A hotel full of warmth & personal touch

  Pros: 1) Strategic location if you intend to stay at the foot of the moutain. It is located next to the Tourist Sightseeing Bus Terminal. I was unable to buy the bus ticket on my first day as it was too crowded. And had to take the 6:30 am bus next day. Being next to the terminal allows me to buy the ticket next day at 6 am and with much lesser queue! The hotel is also very close to the public bus stop if you are taking the bus from Emeishan Railway station. It only cost 1 yuan and alight at the 3rd bus stop (i think). 2) Decent and clean room. Although the hotel is quite old, the rooms are clean and huge. We stayed on the 5th flr. 3) Delicious cuisine. Please have dinner there at least once. The vegetable are so fresh. We had the wild vegetable fried with eggs. Order their bbq fish. A must-order!! You can choose to cook in 2 flavours, soya and spicy. 4) Helpful Staff. Speak to the staff at the reception for any queries, especially on the how to best enjoy Emeishan, which are the must-visit temples. The tips were so useful it helped us save lots of time. On our last day, as we were running short of time and needed to catch the high speed train. The receptionist order a cab for us and gladly paid for it. Cons: 1) No elevator. To me is not an issue. If you are looking for value for money, choose this hotel. Even though some reviewers find the hotel is old, we are not spending all our time in the hotel.

  Keep your receipt

  We had a great stay here but I would advise anyone who booked through Booking.com to keep their receipt. We reserved through Booking.com with a credit card and upon arrival were told we needed to pay. We paid in cash (and I distinctly remember this as very few places took credit cards) but I didnt keep the receipt. Upon arrival home, I discovered that the hotel had also charged the credit card. I was unable to get my money back so buyer beware. Keep your receipt and note if you paid in cash!
