  We spent one night at the lodge. Warm welcome on arrival. Werner is a wonderful host and you could tell that nothing would be too much trouble for him. We spent the afternoon enjoying the mountain views from the communal outdoor area. Our sleep was comfortable and we woke to a lovely breakfast with wonderful staff making our experience very enjoyable. You could not ask for a better position in Hermanus. Overlooking the popular Voelklip Beach, beach path on your doorstep and views form seafacing room endless which can be enjoyed from comfortable chairs. Balcony is small so no seating there but that was not an issue for us. Would love to return.

  Perfection on the Beach

  We were warmly welcomed by Mandy and were able to drop our bags in our room before check in time. Werner is a gracious host, nothing was too much trouble for him. The lodge is literally on the beachfront, the relaxing sound of the waves a constant companion. Breakfast was served With restaurants nearby and the Cliff Path into Hermanus across the road, this is the perfect getaway.

  Overpriced!

  The bed is terribly hard and uncomfortable. The shower is awkward if you're tall and so is the bed (my husband's feet were hanging over). There was only 1 soap dispenser that had to be moved from the shower to the basin all the time. The whole bathroom floods when showering. We've stayed somewhere else in Hermanus that was in the same price bracket, but much better and a lot more comfortable. Mandy makes a good breakfast though and runs the place pretty well.

  Excellent service and location

  We stayed for the second time in the Hermanus Beachfront Lodge. It was a perfect experience once again. It is located a couple of meters from the beach and Cliff Path, the views from the balconies are gorgeous. It is a quite part of Hermanus, but lots of restaurants/shops are max 10 min drive away. The breakfast was excellent, both taste and presentation, beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. There is a selection of hot options, cooked individually for each guest. Freshly baked croissants, fruits, yogurt, etc. Delicious! Real feast for the eyes and mouth. The room was very comfortable and clean. Comfy bed, great linen and bathrobes. Special thanks to each member of the personnel! Each and every one is an asset for the business. You made our holiday very special, with home-like feeling. Looking forward for our next stay.

  The view is breathtaking

  Loved our stay at Hermanus Beach Front. The location is really unique. The rooms are spacious with uninterrupted view. Friendly service with a personal touch, a feeling 'at home'. All you can expect from a breakfast. Great value!
