Formerly great hotel has really deterioratedMy family has stayed here for years and used to love this property. Sadly, it has fallen into disrepair and suffers from poor management. On our recent stay, we rented four rooms and a banquet room. The rooms were dirty. The air conditioning vents were literally caked with dust and grime that has to be years old. The sinks didn't drain properly. The bedside lights were inoperable. The A/C cover literally fell off onto the floor one nigh and you could really see just how dirty the unit was. The windows were so filthy you couldn't enjoy what we know is a beautiful view of the lake. On three different occasions a staff member called "maintenance" to address a problem. Since "maintenance" never showed, we decided he was actually a ghost and that the staff just humored guests by pretending he was real. I heard two different guests checking out who were complaining of roach infestations in their rooms (We did NOT have this problem). Hotel appears to be understaffed and the existing staff just really isn't that helpful - probably are overworked. We won't be back. So sad.

Quality control?????We booked with Hilton in Columbus, GA over Thanksgiving for 4 nights in a junior suite. We had NO maid services all four days even though we specifically asked at the front desk to at least change our towels. The toilet ran, the sink clogged, lights were burnt out (one was actually screwed in wrong), black mold in the shower, and the thermostat did not work (although upon inspection the batteries were in backward). WOW can't believe they can stay in business!! Not the Hilton of the past.

Food on floor and dust on headboardsWe arrived a little later in the evening from traveling with two toddlers. It smelt cleaned for sure but then as we started to unpack and settle I noticed the floor was nasty. There was food actually different types of nuts on the floor next to the bed. So what does this mommy do I start dusting and sure enough the headboards and phones and just things in the room havent been dusted clearly. I notified the front desk sweet sweet lady said she would let management know. I started cleaning myself with my cleaning supplies I carry with me even though I shouldnt have to.

Wonderful stayTraveling through we enjoyed a one night stay. Chris is a gem, he made sure all was just right for us. Quiet, comfortable rooms in beautiful surroundings. My grandson and I took a walk after the long drive. The hotel sits on a lake, trees line a walking path right out the door. We have expectations for a Hilton property and and this location is Very Nice!

Diamond Member DisappointmentI love staying at Hilton Garden Inns around the country for a few reasons: 1) restaurant and bar onsite 2) large selection of market items for purchase and 3) the upscale feel of rooms without high associated costs. Let me say that THIS Hilton Garden Inn fails in all three categories. Covid or not, theres no excuse for completely EMPTY food shelves, not ONE bottled water available, and a closed restaurant and bar. I couldnt even get a glass of red wine, oh, wait. I could have gotten a small bottle of that for TWENTY-FIVE dollars!! . Seriously, the hallway carpets are stained, as well as the carpeting in the rooms. The rooms themselves are designed more like a Motel 6. To say this hotel is a disappointment is an understatement. #TimeForATotalMakeover
