  Clean, Comfortable, and Nice Breakfast

  We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Starkville. The room was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The morning breakfast was excellent. The only negative was the closet. The rod needed to be set further back in the closet in room 401. It was difficult to close the closet doors after you hang clothes inside. This looks like it could be easily corrected. I'm not sure if all rooms were like this.

  Clean, Polite

  Hotel is always clean and staff is polite. Were accommodating getting our 2 rooms adjoining. Easy to get in and get out. But, beds/pillows not comfortable. Sunday brunch looked good, but was expensive so we opted not to.

  College Visit trip

  Checked in early and left to go tour college. Came back 8 hours later and room wasnt ready. We had to leave and go to another hotel. There was horrible gas smell in lobby. Would not go back based on experience.

  DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

  I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. Some great stays some not so much. Do not stay in this hotel. Walked in at noon to check in and request adjoining rooms. The young lady working the front went over the top to get us rooms connecting. She said they are not ready. I said no worries we have plans all afternoon and will not be back until tonight. Ask her to just send digital keys to the app. Got back around 7:00 and walked in and the hotel smelled like it had a major gas leak. Employees said we dont know what is wrong. Rooms were not ready. Manager was very nice and was going to go clean the rooms but we were tired and ready to check in. There was an employee working that was just walking around with no shoes on....not very professional . Very disappointed as a Hilton Diamond Member.

  No Protocol for Drunk and Disorderly Guests

  I stayed here on Nov 7, 2020 in room 421. At 1AM in the morning a group of 8 drunk and unbelievably vulgar guests were screaming and yelling up and down the hallway. They were in the room next to me and were literally bouncing off the walls. When I called the front desk the clerk heard them through the phone and came to ask them to calm down. As soon as the clerk left they were screaming and yelling again. This lasted until 3:10AM. I called the front desk 4 times. When I asked the clerk what their protocol was for guests that were this out of control he told me he didn't know what to do. He said he called the police around 2AM but nothing changed. They were yelling profanities, playing basketball up and down the hallway, drinking, screaming and bouncing all kinds of things off the walls. This was totally ridiculous and the end result shows they have no protocol for guest safety. What a waste of $159. I was told at checkout the manager would be contacting me. I've heard nothing from Hilton. I did see several other sites had terrible reviews for this same night from other guests.
