  Precioso hotel en un lugar privilegiado . Dormimos en cabañas y sin duda merece la pena . A pie de pistas ....en un entorno natural privilegiado .... La gente muy amable . El bufete está bien , quizá repetitivo eso si pero la calidad buena . Merece sin duda la pena conocer salla y una de sus cabañas , con sauna , cocina , loft en la parte de arriba , chimenea , ducha cómoda .... Para repetir

  Mucho más que lo esperado

  Un lugar hermoso. Tiene todo lo necesario y más para pasar una semana maravillosa. Las unidades que nos asignaron eran espaciosas, confortables, perfectamente equipadas. Las personas del staff atentas, cálidas. Dentro del desarrollo hay pistas de ski, se puede realizar también snowboard y deslizarse con trineos (sleds), un restaurante acogedor con comida excelente ("Kelo Ravintola" y un bar y restaurante de hielo (SnowLounge). Las vistas son increíbles y la zona del lago es un punto muy propicio para poder ver auroras boreales. Magnífica experiencia!!

  Extremely cozy log cabin near all activities

  We stayed in a small studio of Holiday Club Salla Kelorinne. The hotel is known as Hotel Revontuli, too. They have very many different room types in Holiday Club Salla: hotel rooms, apartments ("villas"), cottages, log cabins etc. Notice that different room types have different check-out times. It may be as early as 10 am (as in Kelorinne). There is a spa with saunas and swimming pools in the main building. Our studio was a semi-detached log cabin (27 square meters) for 2-4 people in the area called Kelorinne (literally Log Slope), 400 meters from the main building of the resort. Our log cabin was perfect. We had a terrace, a bathroom, an electric sauna for 2 people and a living room plus a bedroom, which were partly separated. We had a drying cabinet for clothes, a fireplace, a television and a sofa bed in the living room. We also had a kitchenette with dinnerware in the bedroom. WiFi was excellent. There was an underfloor heating system in all rooms. It was -20 degrees Celsius outside but the temperature in the cottage was over +23 degrees Celsius, when we arrived. It was too hot for us. Luckily you can adjust the heating system yourself. However, notice that it reacts very slowly, because the electric heating is under floor tiles. Unfortunately they have texts on control knobs only in Finnish (OH means the living room, PH means the bathroom and SA means the sauna). We had an advance booking for buffet breakfasts. They were served in Restaurant Revontuli, the main building. Breakfast buffets were good but nothing special. We loved lunches and dinners in Restaurant Keloravintola less than 200 meters from our log cabin. All activities were near our log cabin: ski lifts, ski slopes, cross-country skiing tracks, fatbike tracks, snowshoe tracks, winter walking tracks, snowmobile tracks etc. You couldn't have any more central location in Sallatunturi, Salla. Besides, it was easy to come here with public transportation. We took a night train with private sleeping cabins from Helsinki to Kemijärvi and then a local bus from Kemijärvi railway station to Holiday Club Salla. The bus transfer took 1½ hours and the bus stopped only a couple of meters from the main door of Holiday Club Salla. However, notice that there may be only one scheduled bus transfer Kemijärvi-Sallatunturi-Kemijärvi per day. The timetable is excellent if you are coming from or going to a night train. The nearest airport is Kuusamo Airport. Everything else was excellent but service was quite poor. A young male receptionist asked in check-in if we have been here earlier. We answered "no". After that he gave us the map of the resort but he didn't give any other information. He didn't tell anything about breakfast although we had booked breakfasts in advance. Other receptionists were quite rude, too. Only one young woman was very kind, friendly and polite. However, I have to say that we always got excellent service in Restaurant Keloravintola and in the equipment rental office. This was one of our best winter holidays ever. The log cabin was extremely cozy and there were very many interesting activities in the resort. It would be interesting to stay here in summer, too.

  Adequate Lodging in Salla

  We had two twin bed room. It was on the ground floor. It was small and dated, but clean. No sauna in the room, which we did have at other hotels in Finland. It was very close to the Salla ski resort and about 10 minutes from Salla Reindeer Park. About 15 minutes from "downtown" Salla and 30 minutes from the Russian border. The restaurant was surprisingly good. Excellent breakfast buffet.

  Great winter vacation in the Lapland

  The Salla cabin was great. Just steps off the ski slopes, and lots of hiking trails, even during the middle of winter. It was great to have the restaurant Kelo Ravintola just at the bottom of the hill, and so many winter activities within a 10-minute walk.
