  Great hotel

  Stayed here for one night before flying out the next morning. The hotel is fantastic, great location, friendly staff, super modern & clean rooms and great breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Brisbane for the weekend. I will be back!

  Very good experience

  I stayed for a night at the Holiday Inn and was very satisfied with the services for the price paid. It's a good mid-budget hotel which is following all Covid safe measures including a buffet breakfast. Would definitely recommend to others.

  My go to hotel in Brisbane

  This is my go to hotel when in Brisbane isubject to availability of the Groupon deal. For my 3 night stay it averages out to around $90 per night (very good price) including breakfast and 2 drink vouchers. Happy hour is no longer available :( Not only does that offer some of the best value accomodation the the Brisbane CBD, its clean, modern and a short stroll from Central Station. (So convenient if catching the Airtrain). Queen Street Mall is a longer walk (10-15 minutes) but there are eateries nearby and I do enjoy the walk. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I'm also glad that they stopped the "penny pinching" experiment from my last stay. That is they did not supply toiletries unless you asked for it. During this stay, thankfully my toiletries were replenished each day. As a result of covid the buffet now works very differently with hot dishes served to you on your plate and cold items were self serve. Disposable cutlery and coffee cups as a result of covid. The breakfast though is now even more basic than before. There were only 4 hot items and cold items were limited to yoghurt, fruit salad, packaged banana bread and packaged chocolate muffin and milk. My favouite, croisants, were not available and the bacon was only just cooked and looked so pale. Please ask the chef to cook it well and preferably crispy. As there arent many items cooked I cant imagine he or she is too much under the pump. A just okay breakfast to start the day but whilst prices remain good I will certainly be a return visitor. In fact I am returning in March so hope some of these matters are addressed by then.

  Value for money

  A fantastic hotel thats very affordable yet great value. Stayed here for one night only. The rooms are new and clean, very good COVID-19 protocols in place, good location and breakfast service was adequate. The location is a little bit out from where the action is, but close enough to walk to. Theres some construction happening around the building but nothing major or noisy. Close to Cathedral Square which is a lovely park to chill and theres a Woolworths which is only about 3 mins walk. The only drawback about this place is the lack of facilities available; theres a tiny gym room but not much in there, no swimming pool or bar area around. But you get what you pay for, and Id be happy to stay here again.

  Tiny Rooms, Over rated Breakfast and Expensive parking

  My wife and I were given a 2 day 4.5 Star Mystery Hotel offer . The rooms are TINY, great for an overnight stay for one person but not for 2 people for 2 or more nights. Do not look at their own "ratings" as when I completed their survey they left out important questions such as the QUALITY of breakfast, yet they ask about the QUALITY of their rooms and did not ask about parking. Parking was a ripoff but typical of this industry. Just like Popcorn at the movies. lol Breakfast could be good but the cooked options were....weird. One offering was Baked Bean.....and Kidney Beans. I have NEVER seen this combination and it is not good! Bacon was either dry and overcooked or barely cooked at all. The scrambled eggs had no seasoning at all. It was extremely BLAND. All the staff were multilingual however some were very difficult to understand, especially at reception. It appears they don't employ people born in Australia or just don't pay enough. Who knows. For a "Business Hotel" the restaurant was not open for dinner and as this hotel is not central, you had to walk a fair way to get to a choice of restaurants. I did not choose to stay here and certainly would not choose to stay here as the rooms are TINY and not for a relaxing long weekend. I was given this as a Mystery Hotel deal and had to use it by April. Only 6 months after it was purchased and 4 ½ months after I was given it. Disappointing is a kind reference I can use here. Then they keep sending emails of which I never wanted and it appears I cannot unsubscribe to them. I have tried to look for a contact us and could find not find an email address anywhere, hence my review here.
