Bday weekendI booked this hotel very last minute and I felt the price was reasonable for the area. I didnt like that my room was on the first floor with a view of their garbage disposal. The room was very cute looks like an apartment. Bed was super comfy & the free breakfast wasnt as bad as I expected. Wish they also didnt give me a handicap room because the bathroom was horrible. There was no separation between the floor and the shower, so there were wet towels everywhere, it wasnt very safe. The overnight guy at the front desk is the BEST. I wish he could have been around more. Anyways I had a great birthday weekend and this hotel didnt put a damper in it except for a little hassle at check in and waiting a whole month for a refund that was in fact their error and an inconvenience to me. I would recommend, i would visit again.

Its an ok hotel,I been staying at this property several weeks during November, December due to my job which is near by. Otherwise I will never stay at this hotel. Just to give heads up there isnt places to eat near by so you have to walk for a while, the area isnt safe to be walking around lots of bumps asking you for money, typical Bronx. In regards the hotel, they offer a parking lot for $45 a day, be mindful they had only 8 tiny spots to park the car, I had several scratches on my vehicle attempting to park. Also the most annoying thing is that there isnt a buzzer or a call button to let receptionist know to open the garage gate, I have to call the front desk from my cell phone to open the gate, sometimes in the evening they arent in the front desk so I have to blow the horn loud and still no one come to open the gate, therefore I had to step out from my car and walked towards the front desk. I had been stay here for a total of 26 nights throw the months of November and December believe me what Im saying how annoying is to park at this property, the hotel needs to do better than that. In regards housekeeping thats another issue, usually maids are in the building until around 3pm, I usually leave my room around 1pm since I work at 3pm. I requested room service when I leave my room and sometimes someone come and do my room, sometimes they forget, when they forget I always go to the front desk to complaint and ask for towels and they always said we will let the housekeeping manager know, but what does will do to me? Housekeeping manger never contacted me for nothing. During my first week of stay the hot water didnt work on my room I told front desk about it and they sent a guy to fix it, water still was cold so I had to shower with cold water for about 2 days, then they finally changed my room. Overall, I am only staying at this property because its close to work otherwise I will recommend you avoid the headache if you are planing to stay long term.

Great find in the middle of a semi-demilitarized zoneLet me start by saying the hotel and staff are very nice, however it is located in a not so great area. First the good...It is very easy to get to the city via the subway which is about 2 blocks away. The staff try very hard to make you feel at home and there is a free breakfast. There is also fee parking onsite. Now the bad.. The area is not the best, and I would not suggest going out or coming into the hotel after 10pm. There is little to eat around near the hotel, except run down delis and a few fast food places. So eat before you get into the area. Lastly, the Major Deegan expressway runs right next to the hotel. It an elevated 6 lane roadway that has trucks, cars and all related running on it 24 hours a day, so yes there is noise in the room. So bottom line if your young and need to save a few bucks while visiting NYC this is a great place. If your traveling with a family, or are an older couple/person may want to spend the money and stay in a midtown area hotel.

By the hour.Multiple disclosures here: first of all, this was for two weeks on business. My company booked this hotel. I would have never stayed at this hotel of my own accord. Secondly, this was during the COVID 19 pandemic, so allowances must be considered. Third, the front desk staff was always nice to me. That being said: I went out of my way to NOT stay at this hotel again during my next business trip to NYC. The rooms are small, but adequate. There is fridge, which I used often during my two week stay. There is a coffee maker, which I never used. Storage is adequate. Three drawers and a small wardrobe. The room wasnt filthy, but there was a lot of dust and hair that had not been cleaned from the previous stay. The views are not like what they show you in the photos from the owners. I pretty much had views of a giant orange public storage building. Since it was COVID 19, there was no regular maid service, which I understand. But there was NO service in the rooms AT ALL. I stayed in the room for two weeks. I even begged for a broom or mop to do the work myself, to no avail. By the end of my stay, I was using wet towels to clean the floor myself because it was overrun with hair and dust. The worst part of the stay was the constant noise, from multiple sources. First of all, youre right by the highway. Constant noise. All night, all day. Secondly, the housekeeping service is always yelling loudly or listening to music loudly in the mornings. Third, and worst: the other guests. During my time there, it was like a revolving door. Though I stayed two weeks, others usually stayed one night at a time. A crying baby on one side of me, a loud, thumping, wall vibrating speaker on the other. One night I had to call security (twice!) because the room next to me kept playing music loud enough to vibrate my wall at 2 and 3 AM (in the hotels defense, front desk and security was responsive). It was just a constant rotation of noise. There was never any rest. A coworker of mine, also traveling to work in NYC from out of state, is still staying in the hotel, while I have moved on to another much calmer, quieter hotel. When we discussed the daily/nightly rotation of guests and the noise, he stated, at this point, its almost like theyre charging by the hour.
