Budget hotel near airport subway lineI've stayed here twice, due to having business nearby. There is not much reason for most visitors to Beijing to chose this hotel, as it is a bit pricey for what it is. The main plus is that it is about 10 minutes walk to 3 subway lines, including the one to the airport, so for someone traveling light and flying in and out of Beijing, it could be pretty convenient. Unlike most chain hotels, this appears to be a remodeled older hotel. There is a restaurant inside (fish heads!) that appears to be an independent business. Otherwise, the rooms are basic, but clean. I had a little trouble adjusting the shower temp, but no other serious problems and the room was pretty quiet for a busy location. The room includes basic toiletries, bottled water, wired and wireless internet, fairly good lighting, disposable slippers (on the small side), and a decent number of outlets. The front desk is always busy and not super helpful. I doubt they speak English. Ask for the internet access on check-in, as you need to be given access (and the staff don't ask). Also, when you get to the room, go ahead and request more toilet paper, as the roll is really small. There are cards for prostitutes under the door each day. Not ideal, though for me it is a little better than the nightly phone calls in many Chinese hotels. There are cheaper chain hotels all over Beijing, and nicer places to stay in this price range or for just a little more, but this is a good lower cost value in the Dizhimen area.

Suitable for BusinessmanA simple, clean & efficient hotel very suitable for traveling businessman & budget family travels. Generally Home Inn hotels have better locations than 7Days Hotel Chain in China. Also, their prices are very competitive, therefore, usually fully booked, therefore it is better if you book in advance. But beware, some of the Home Inn are franchise owners, so depending on the owners property, some buildings may be older. However, generally I would still recommend this hotel to budget foreign travelers. Also, be reminded that not all hotels have the license in China to accommodate foreigners even though they maybe be cheap.

Good for short staysThe room was much smaller than expected ; small double bed suitable for those shorter than 180cm and tiny desk with very little legroom. At night you could hear your neighbour next door snoring.A real nightmare! The staff spoke very little English.

You get what you pay forIf you're like me and frustrated paying for 5 star hotels which have 1 star service in China, you can't beat Home Inn. It's cheap, basic and they're everywhere. You get exactly what you pay for. The only problem really is the room can smell of cigarette smoke. Also you will get weird phone calls offering you "massage".

Great location, price, peopleBecause it is located close to the train station, we could go places with ease. Rooms are cheap, yet they are cozy and clean. Service is great, and noise level isn't bad. Tip: if you're claustrophobic, don't book the cheapest room: they are in the basement with no windows. If you need to dry your hair, BYO hairdryer, or there are some in common area.
