  A hotel or a pub?

  Is it a Hotel with a Pub or a Pub with a Hotel? Well the Hotel part of this building is excellent with direct access to my room from an underground car-park which also kept the car frost and snow free. My room had a very comfortable double bed, a nice desk and superb free WiFi and a brilliant bathroom with a first class shower and a heated wet room floor, it really was a very nice room and was spotlessley clean as well. If this was a review for the Hotel alone i would give it a 5 rating but it's not, and the pub brings it down. the let down, for me is the food which was only just average and the fact that it is open to the public and is very popular because I believe, as a resident, you should not have to struggle for a table to eat at, trying to be all things to all people is a mistake. the building and decor however are superb and its a good atmosphere.

  Strange combination

  The hotel rooms are really nice. Roomy with nice furniture , lighting, very comfortable beds. Overall clean and tidy , apart from the central light which had a layer of dust all over the bulb. Bathroom is new and clean. The quandary over this place is it a pub with rooms ?? You check in at the bar which is a public bar so you have to wait your turn to be served !! To check in. There is no reception area. Food at the pub is very poor. Breakfast is ok - lacking in hot choices- boiled eggs or boiled eggs!! Would stay in the rooms again but avoid the pub - lets you down

  Got there by accident and LOVED it!

  Hotel room we booked from Scandic Luleå got cancelled because booking system on Scandic was failing. Whole city was fully booked because of Hamnfestivalen and Scandic reception asked if we could spend night on Piteå. Because we were heading to south anyway, that was ok to us. We got room from The Bishop Arms. No expectations, just wanted to go to sleed badly. Arriving was interesting, reception is in the middle of the pub and it was friday night 10 pm and we are travelling with our 4 year old kid. Room and the whole hotel was a real surprise! Clean, fresh, everything new and stylish! Nice breakfest with lot of to choose from. I would definitely go there again and U should too :)

  Hidden gem!

  I, as well as 4 other parents and 13 soccer players recently stayed at this hotel. It is extremely secure, food is amazing and the pub downstairs was very friendly! This hotel is situated in the downtown area, walking distance to all eateries, shopping, and the atmosphere is fabulous!! (P.S. Our team took home the bronze medal from the PITEA SUMMER GAMES!!)

  Comfortable with things to improve

  I stayed here for four days. During that time the housekeeping was very, very poor, no change of towels, I had to ask for the soap to be refilled (it was empty on check-in), and old stains and dust left in the room. The queen-sized bed was really comfortable and AC in the room was much appreciated. The room was small but quiet, there was no disturbing noises from surrounding traffic or from the pub downstairs. The bathroom with shower was small, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but decent however the cutlery was always dirty. I asked the staff several time to clean them but they never did. But the worst was the non welcoming girl who managed the check-in. She was rude and condescending, she was very eager to tell me that hotel guests were not welcome in the pub and she had no time to answer my questions. I felt unwelcome. Overall this is a decent hotel, perfectly located in the centre of the town. There is no real reception - you turn to the bar for check-in, so staff is only available during the opening hours of the pub.
