  Nice location outside the town

  We arrived a bit late (around 7 PM) and had to wait for the receptionist which also served in the restaurant. The hotel is located a bit outside the town i the country side next to walking trails. The room we got was a bit damp and the madras in one on of the beds a bit warren but the room was nice and clean. The food in the restaurant was nice and service fine except for one of the waiters which took his time and walked around looking into the floor in stead of at the guests. Would we come again: Yes for that price we would come again if we were in the area.

  A good place to stay

  A nice hotel in the woods. A great area close to several walking trails. Personal was very friendly. Only the owner was a little bit grumpy. Dinner and breakfast were very tasty. The sauna is for free and very quiet. We had some nice days here.

  A beautiful setting

  Stayed here on business. Hotel is set in lovely countryside looking down on the next village. Hotel was clean and friendly and very quiet, in fact other than the 2 people I was with I can't recall seeing anyone else. I guess you could say the rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. I would like to stay here again so I can explore the local area some more.

  Quiet, clean and well run Hotel

  Stayed here for 7 days for a seminar. Food was very good, the rooms very clean and adequatly furnished. Nature around is beautiful. I dont recommend staying too long if you dont plan on going hiking or walking every day, since it is pretty outside of any medium sized town.

  Never again - hotel manager doesn't know a thing about hospitality

  Don't go to Hotel Carpe Diem! In many ways it's a disappointing experience, but the most important problem is the total lack of hospitality from the rude manager. The customer is not right, on the contrary, you should be happy to be there. Examples: "Could I order a special dessert tomorrow? It's my wife's birthday, and she has a dairy allergy." Answer: "You should organize that yourself, we don't do allergies." "Buffet is between 6 and 8, but come early, the food is not getting any better." Wifi is very slow and only works at the reception. Lobby closes at 10.30pm, everybody is sent away. Bar closes at 10pm, but already at 9.45 you can't order anything anymore. Nuts or little bites are not on the menu. Rooms are not cleaned, consider yourself lucky with some new toilet paper. "Fitness room" (I hesitate to use this term) is covered in dust and hairs. Machines are ramshackle, broken, or not plugged-in. Our request beforehand to get a big bed rather than two separate one-person beds, was not answered, and ignored. Even the comfort rooms, which are slightly more expensive, are quite small. Also, there were mold and spider webs on the ceiling. Of course I discussed all this with the manager. He refused to take responsibility or apologize and on top of that we got yelled at for bringing a bottle of wine into the lobby.
