Nice Cozy Place, but Not Particularly Catered to Business Travelers

The hotel is very nice, clean and recently refurbished. The view from the rooms is good. Reception staff very polite and helpful. Not a kind of a hotel for a long stay or business stay though, despite it being located in a mainly business area. The main reason - the rooms are very small, which is aggravated by poor ergonomic decisions taken apparently during refurbishment. As a result you have some space which could've been put to use completely wasted. Apart from good WiFi, there's nothing a business traveler is accustomed to. The lack of the safebox is a major inconvenience, especially considering the fact, that there is actually space for a small safebox. Lack of minibar is compensated by Carrefour City, which is located almost next door to the hotel, so there's an opportunity to get some snacks. The hotel has another significant drawback, which is much more serious - very bad soundproofing between the rooms. I have been hearing some poor guy coughing and sneezing all night in an adjacent room and another guy snoring in the room above. Such situation makes this place not only unsuitable for business travelers, but also to people, who wake up easily and couples for obvious reasons, I don't understand how would a couple make love in a place, where everything is heard everywhere in the radius of several rooms. So apparently the target audience of the place are pensioners with poor hearing abilities. Despite the hotel being nice and lovely, it simply doesn't do the job and has become a major disappointment to me. Will not stay there again.

    Renewed hotel in Courbevoie

I tried this hotel for the first time and was positively surprised! The hotel is totally renewed. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the bed are new! The breakfast is good and the price they are applying for it is reasonable. Compared to what you find in the area this is a good compromise between price and quality!!

Great location, clean rooms but one major issue...!

I travel a lot and this was my third hotel room in four nights. All I expect is somewhere clean and tidy with decent WiFi and a comfortable bed really - and Hotel Courseine supplied all that. Around 5 minutes from a train station and 15 minute walk to La Defense, this was a perfect location for me. Check-in was quick and easy and my room was small but very clean and comfortable. The TV didn't work but I only mentioned it during check-out and I am sure the staff would have addressed this issue had I asked - as it was, I didn't have time to watch TV so didn't mention it. WiFi was okay although it did keep dropping out in my room which was quite annoying. Why hoteliers cannot carry out a full WiFi survey of their premises to fix rooms with poor WiFi I don't know - however when it worked it was fine. Breakfast was basic but fresh and tasty - and they had a working toaster which is always a bonus and a coffee machine that didn't overfill the cups - simple things! My main issue however was the bathroom. I understand the need to make bathrooms small upon redeveloping a property to keep the main room large enough for a double bed, but please hotel architects, please remember those of us who are over 6' tall and have long legs. The toilet was squeezed into my bathroom with about 12 inches between the front of the seat and the wall meaning someone of my stature found it quite difficult to use the facilities, shall we say? It was fine for one night only, but for a longer stay I'm afraid it would have been a dealbreaker. I know it sound silly, but when you can't fit on the loo because your legs are too long, there is an issue with the design :) Anyway, apart from this I would highly recommend this hotel. If you are over 6', drop them a line beforehand to ensure you don't get problematic loo though!

    Hotel Stay

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was enjoyable. The location was very central and the road in which the hotel is situated is very vibrant with many shops, restaurants and bakeries close by. There is also a train station within walking distance. Le Defense is also nearby with a large shopping centre. All in all a central and enjoyable stay.

    Lovely hotel

Very nice hotel, clean rooms and staff were welcoming. Breakfast was also very good. This is the second time I have stayed here and would definitely come back. Only improvement would be a better selection of toiletries.
