  Great Hotel; Awesome Staff

  The Terminal Hotel Fukui is an all-around great stay and was, by and far, one of my favorite stops while I was travelling around Japan. The staff are so nice and helpful, it's incredible. Everyone genuinely seems to care and wants you to have a great stay. The rooms run a little on the small side but are nothing atypical of budget (1 night ~4800 Yen) Japanese hotels. There are laundry facilities on site, as well as a laundromat behind the hotel. There is a restaurant on the first floor, where you can get a Japanese style breakfast (600 Yen) or a "Western" style breakfast (500 Yen); open from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Wifi is available in the rooms and is complimentary. The hotel also provides free luggage storage. Another great thing about the hotel is its location: it is located just a one minute walk (almost entirely under awnings) from the (JR) station and is adjacent to the light rail station, which is sandwiched between the JR station and the hotel, providing easy access to two of Fukui's best day-trip sites - Eihei-ji () and Tjinb ().
