  AWESOME STAY

  We booked a suite at this hotel. Marvelous suite. Worth the money. We had a fabulous stay. Pontresina is a small town and this is undoubtedly the best hotel. They provide free pickup & drop to Pontresina station. The breakfast was huge. Lastly, the hotel staff were very nice.

  Good hotel in Pontresina

  While this hotel is a bit of an uphill walk from the train station it was worth the effort. We had a large comfortable room with a seating area like a restaurant banquet. Our only problem was the temperature, they could not seem to turn the heat down enough so that the room was rather warm at night unless we kept the door to the balcony open. The breakfast was extensive, but one morning the eggs were cold, they could not seem to get the burner under the steam pan to work. Otherwise there was a good variety of breakfast choices available. The restaurant associated with the hotel is also quite goo with a large variety of dishes available, including several asian dishes, which is unusual.

  Ok hotel

  Nice Hotel which feels it has been there for many years. Of course the location in Pontresina is fantastic and it is right in the center. The staff at the reception is nice, the rooms are average in size. The furnishings and bathrooms are from the 70s. It does feel like it needs a renovation as here and there you fins it is old (mold in the corners of the showers, shower head that does not stay straight up, etc.). The breakfast room would be really nice, however the one waiter is quite grumpy and they seem to struggle to keep the food available in sufficient quantity, even when there is not such a tremendous choice. Overall it was quite ok but when returning would probably try another one.

  Wonderful 3-star

  Comfortable one-night stay in an alpine style modern room. Limited view as in a lower-level room. A quiet and peaceful vibe but I am sure it is a hive of activity in the winter months. One of the coldest spots on our September-October trip.

  Nice hotel - view to Bernina

  Schweizerhof was our endstation and reward after four days trekking in Bergell/Engadin: Soglio, Maloja, Surlej, Coazhütte and Pontresina. We really enjoyed the fine rooms, the friendly and at the same time sporty atmosphere. Restaurants were of good quality.
