  Staff are very helpful.

  Our motor home broke down in this town, the rep. from the repair facility made a reservation for us that day, we have a small dog & we were put in a pet friendly room. The room was adequate, however there were stains on the carpet from previous guests. I feel we should have been moved into a cleaner room for the price we paid. We won't be visiting that Hotel again. The cleaning staff were really great & told us they were replacing the carpet with vinyl as they could. The owners don't seem to care about the condition of the property, also the restaurant had an adequate menu & everything tasted okay, being a retired chef I could help them update their menu & training of their staff.

  We enjoyed our stay here - it was for a family wedding and we had booked several rooms. The reservation was done well and we were close together. We particularly enjoyed being able to sit just outside our rooms in a grassy garden. The property exterior and some of the rooms are tired - clean though - and could use a fresh look. I believe our room had been a smoking room as there was a lingering smell there. However, I would stay there again as the convenience, friendly staff and good restaurant made it all okay.

  Very tired old motel, really needs a facelift

  Very tired old motel, bathrooms seriously need updating. Tiny bathroom with old fixtures covered by rust. Smelled of old smokers. Coffee machine is 1 cup, sugar but no milk or milk substitute. Noisy neighbours smoked and drank alcohol outside their door til midnight. Talking loudly and no staff present to complain to about it. I was not going to confront 3 drunks to tell them to keep it quiet. Smoking outside doors seems to be allowed, numerous ashtrays filled with butts

  Horrible Hotel

  Very disappointed with this hotel. The pictures are incredibly misleading and do not represent the current condition of the hotel. The staff although friendly, are very unprofessional. The room seemed clean but is in such need of revamping that it made you feel uneasy so we wiped it down again ourselves to be certain. There was also a very strong stale smoke smell in the room that was very unpleasant. Hotel closes the front doors at 10pm and instructions to use the outdoor phone or buzz someone to let you in do not work, no one came. When we complained to front desk staff their solution was to have a monthly renter watch for us to let us in!? The beds are decent but that is the only positive I have. So disappointing that Howard Johnson would allow this hotel to represent their brand!

  Worst hotel for price.

  Charged 150 dollars for a old old room that smells terrible. Towels were old and stringy. Nothing open. On the upside we only staying one night. Never again. Front staff completely lied about lounge operation. I assume one owner said bar staff went home early and the worker said its closed for Reno's. I could go on and on. Vernon is only 30 mins away. Just stay there
