  Best stay!

  Ive never stayed at a Hyatt hotel before this and I was very impressed with this stay. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay and we will more than likely be visiting again in the future. The staff and everything else was great.

  Luxury With A View

  I booked a room to spend Valentine's Day with the hubby. Everything was great. COVID protocols were in place, and the staff had great recommendations for dinner delivery options. The view is awesome from this location in Iowa City. The beds are always comfortable, and I love the pillows.

  Amazing Service

  We were in town because of a family emergency, the Hyatt staff bent over backwards to accomodate us. They really have a personal touch that was so appreciated. The hotel is great, with heated indoor parking and a short walk to restaurants. The room was large and very clean with a great view of the Iowa City.

  Excellent location/ Excellent view

  My birthday stay at this property was excellent. The location is 2 blocks from downtown. The CDC guidelines were spot on and the room was comfortable. The view is spectacular (ask for a high room). The complimentary hot breakfast was available with delicious bacon and scrambled eggs in individual packages on a warmer. Also, French toast sticks, bagels to toast on the rotating toaster, packaged cereal & oatmeal, and coffee. If you don't need super close parking, bypass the paid hotel parking and find a place on the street.

  Iowa City Hyatt

  Our stay at the Iowa Downtown Hyatt could not have been nicer. The staff were exceptionally nice and the location is perfect. We were on the 10th floor and could see the whole of downtown. The style of the hotel is perfection.

  Buen hotel

  Buena estada. Lugar muy centrico en la ciudad. Disponibilidad de parquing por la zona. Buen desayuno y variedad segun el dia. Habitacion amplia, bien climatizada y con los servicios sufiecientes para una buena estada.

  EXCELLENT AS ALWAYS, GREAT VALUE

  We stay here two or three times every year for a week at a time. Always same great staff. Good free breakfast. Just wish they'd fix elliptical machine in fitness center :)

  Very nice hotel

  It was very close to the downtown and the room was very clean and modern. Somehow bathroom was huge.

  One Night

  We had a corner room with a king bed. It was a comfortable room with a nice sitting area. The breakfast was a step above the normal hotel fare and they had real cups, dishes and glasses. Parking was in a garage adjacent to the hotel. Staff was helpful.

  Stinky

  The hotel smelled like toilet water (and not the French kind), the lobby, my floor (12th). It really needs to be investigated. The fan/AC in the room was extremely loud, difficult to adjust, and depending where the bed was placed, blew in your face. One of the ladies at the conference moved hotels because of it. There was some kind of fan blowing in the bathroom at all times, so loud I had to close the bathroom door to sleep. The breakfast was pretty good, but god forbid it was near closing time. The priority was not customer service but kicking everyone out. Overall disappointing, especially as a conference hotel. I'll stay at one of the others next time. I had picked Hyatt Place because of the breakfast and location. Just being able to get a glass of wine in the evening was a plus. Shame it isn't better managed.
