Very helpful and cheery welcome, the room was good with basic furniture and a comfy bed. The evening meal upstairs in the restaurant was a set meal and basic, but enjoyable. Finished with a coffee and local brandy. Limited choice of breakfast, but fresh bread, croissant and coffee did the trick. Again the staff were always cheery and polite. Obviously set up for the winter skiers and the summer motorcyclists, offering a great place for all to meet up and exchange stories over a beer. The receptionist, whose name I couldn't catch, was the star of the show, a great guy, well done.

Everything you need, but the staff bring it over the top!
This hotel in the village of Giron, France was perfectly pleasant. The rooms were simple, yet comfortable and spacious. The chef takes a lot of pride in what he does, and pays great attention to detail, resulting in delicious food. Everything was very clean. What brought it over the top was how welcome the staff made us feel, as well as the service level. This is the first time I truly felt at home in any sort of an accommodation. Giron is a great place for cross country skiers, snowshoers, and hikers (probably mountain bikers too?).
