  AVOID at all costs ....

  I dont like to give bad reviews but I would hate for anyone to experience what we did unknowingly. We booked the hotel due to the location, I cant fault the location it is close to town as well as singleton park which is why we booked it. However, a downside to the location is that it is on a busy road ... more on that later! When booking, it wasn't the nicest looking of rooms, very basic, however all the reviews we read had stated that it was clean and as we weren't planning on staying in the room much other than to get a good nights sleep this suited us. Also, the fact that there was 'free' parking was a selling point. The faliure to meet my expectation of getting a decent nights sleep is the reason for this bad review. We got no sleep for the following reasons: 1) The room was so hot with no air and no fan was provided. There were windows that could be opened, however see point 2. 2) The road outside was so busy throughout the night that even with the windows shut you could hear everyone that went passed. 3) The walls and floors are so paper thin that you can hear every move made by the people above you and the conversations of those around you. Including one of our neighbours persistent snoring! 4) There was a lamp post right outside the bedroom and very thin curtains over the windows adding to the difficulty in getting some sleep. Good points? Location as I mentioned apart from the busy noisy road and the view over the beach was nice if it wasnt for the aforementioned busy road and the fact the windows were full of condensation so you couldn't really see out of them that well. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, albeit stupidly small. I cant comment on any other facilities offered such as breakfast as although this was included we never stayed for this. I dont understand other peoples positive reviews at all. Although reading back over these, good ratings seem to be based on having a selection of tea and a free bottle of water (one small bottle for two people for the whole stay) ... maybe I have too high expectations!! Although all we wanted was somewhere to get a good nights kip. Judging by the other reviews, there will be excuses made by the owners as to why this was and that no doubt it was up to us to do something about it. However, we paid over £150 for the two nights and dont expect the need to bring a fan, ear plugs and an eye mask in order to sleep half decently. I have stayed in better hostels for a fraction of the price.  It was so bad that we left the second night and drove to Cardiff late in the morning after the concert and stayed and paid for another hotel, at £80 a night with free parking and a quiet, large comfortable room. Had an amazing nights sleep! Lastly, on the promise of free parking when booking. Please note that this is only between 4pm and 10am. This wasnt a big issue for us however as there was a oat and display car park about 2 minutes walk if that from the hotel. It costs £6 a day but you need to ensure you too it up before 8am each morning. However, if you state there is free parking, it should be clearly stated that this is not for the duration of your stay if staying over and outside these hours so people are aware of this additional cost.

  COMFORTABLE STAY

  Stayed here for one night recently. Friendly and informative welcome, we were given a clean room with a comfortable queen size bed at the rear of the property so it was very quiet. Continental breakfast included in the rate. We would happily stay here again. One thing to note - the "all day" parking in the small car park down the road only gave us 9 hours parking, make sure to check the expiry time on your ticket!!

  Just about adequate B&B

  We stayed here due to the close proximity to our sons student house. There were stunning views across Swansea Bay but across the very busy dual Carriageway Oystermouth Rd -A4067. As mentioned by other reviewers parking outside is free in the evenings and on Sundays. This was mildly inconvenient as there was plenty roadside parking around the corner.The bed was comfortable and there was a lovely bay window and seating area. A kettle was supplied with tea, coffee and water balanced on a small ledge. We didnt pay extra for breakfast there preferring to eat out.The B&B was a disappointment on several accounts- the shower was scalding hot and unusable and we were unable to connect to the WiFi. The lady we mentioned these problems to was rather dismissive and uninterested. Neither issue was resolved while we were there. On the first night we were there there was a loud conversation going on outside our windows from the bench in the yard of the B&B until about 1am.

  Very friendly staff, clean and ideal location with beautiful far reaching Sea views

  Very friendly and accommodating staff, very clean throughout, rooms nice and light and airy. Absolutely beautiful sea views for miles towards Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula. Wide selection for breakfast, lots of healthy options.

  Friendly

  Very friendly couple, lovely location right on the beach front. I got a front facing room very noisy with the traffic. Rooms where homely and clean. Breakfast was standard cereal and toast but can buy full Engligh aswell. Would recommend to anyone who is passing through
