  Stunning rest stop in the Hunter

  We had one night at the cottages on our way south from Qld and what a lovely place. We arrived in the early evening to kangaroos grazing by our cottage. The place was spotless and well appointed with comfy beds and good facilities. Very close to everything and a trouble free stop over. I can cross "being woken by hot air balloons" off the list and what a treat to look out the bedroom window to see three balloons floating past. Overall a lovely experience and we will be both recommending and returning to Madigan Wine Cottages.

  Stunningly private and peaches in convenient location

  Couldnt have asked for a more private setting if I tried for a romantic getaway! Best accommodation I've stayed at in the Hunter Valley and received a super personalised service. Absolutely loved making our own bonfire with a glass of wine :)

  Beautiful getaway in the Hunter

  Cozy, comfortable, clean and with a unbeatable view. Absolutely loved our stay here with our dog. Perfect spot to be close enough to cafes and shops and still feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Highly recommend!

  Perfect getaway for group of friends

  I recently stayed here with a group of friends for my 30th birthday and everyone loved it. We had a combination of families, couples and single people. We booked out all 5 cottages so had the property to ourselves. Each cottage has a pin code to get the key out which is great when there are numerous people staying in the same cottage and doing their own thing - you never have to worry about who has a key. This is also great because they send you the code when the cottages are ready so you don't need to 'check-in' at reception which means you don't need to worry about arriving after reception closes. Colleen was absolutely amazing and let us have early check ins and late checkouts. The location is great and there is a cellar door on the property....if you are an early riser you can watch the hot air balloons. This is actually the second time I stayed here and I would definitely stay again. It is great for getaways where you want self contained accommodation and plenty of privacy.

  Great place for peace and quiet.

  We were upgraded to Settlers cottage as I was away with my adult son for the night and we were given a cottage with 2 full size beds rather than the smaller place with one of us in a single. A lovely quiet spot with a neat tidy cottage. Comfortable beds and everything you need in a home. Walked to Stomp! Winery for tasting and to see the gallery. Did wine tasting in a lovely spot out on the deck. We will be back!
