  Mediocre at best

  After staying at other Margaritaville properties, I had equal expectations for this one. The beds were uncomfortable, and lacked proper linens (duvet cover) there were 2 flat sheets with a comforter in between them that shifted all over the place throughout the night. Im unsure if our furnace & air conditioner worked. The room as super warm when we arrived so we turned it down, but woke up the next morning and it was still pretty hot. We then turned on the ac for the remainder of our stay, but the room temp only dropped 1 degree. It was so uncomfortable Rooms had been painted but that was about it, they were dark and dreary, lacking adequate lighting. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, everyone had an upbeat attitude, they were the best part of our whole stay. On a side note, it would be worth mentioning that only 1 of the 8 restaurants are open in the winter.

  Great Place

  Great relaxing place that is clean and comfortable. Also quite halls and rooms. Staff is awesome and helpful. Food was great at both breakfast and dinner. Views of the lake are beautiful and sunrise and sunsets are cool!

  Fun at Margaritaville Tan Tar A

  Always a great place. Staff always wants you to enjoy yourself and they do that through and through. From the moment you arrive to when you check out. Very friendly staff. Everything was clean. Ive been coming here for over 15 years now. I keep coming back because its an amazing place for just couples or families

  Disappointed with property after arrival

  Disappointed with property after arrival. The resort needs to put money into updating the facility. Our room was very dated and the pictures from the website are very deceiving. The arcade and bowling alley need a lot of updates. Water park was fun. The restaurant was just OK. When checking out we did let the staff now that we werent overly satisfied with the experience and they took $75 off our stay. You can tell they were embarrassed and knew what we were talking about with the room.

  NO COVID PROTOCOL!

  Stayed 3 days. Apart from the ladies at the front desk, most of the time I saw hotel staff they were not masked, or were not wearing masks properly. It's a large resort and there was a lot of staff present. None of the three women working front of house in the restaurant were masked. The man who showed me a map of the resort immediately after checking in was not masked and he stood quite close. Major risk to staying here.
