    Para hacer escala y nada más

    Para ser un Marriot deja bastante que desear. Las habitaciones tienen una estética cutre y pasada de moda; el servicio de habitaciones es de muy mala calidad (las quesadillas son incomibles y grasientas); el personal de recepción es un poco antipático, poniendo pegas a todo en lugar de ofrecer soluciones. Es un hotel que está a cinco minutos en taxi del aeropuerto y que sirve sólo para hacer escala y, sorprendentemente, está bien insonorizado y no se escucha el ruido de los aviones. Tiene un pequeño Starbucks en el hall.

    Front desk not responsive

    Trying to call the front desk to arrange for shuttle service for an hour. They must have phone off hook. Been trying constantly. No alt phone numbers. Marriott call center refuses to assist. It is 11 pm and have early flight 6 am and already a guest at hotel. Huge mistake staying here.

    Gave no concern to covid protocol and the mask policy plus more...

    Let me begin that I was extremely dissatisfied with my stay this past weekend at the KCI Marriott. In fact, there were issues with the stay on every level. 1. Charges on the bill that I was told were reversed. After having a conversation with Karen, the desk attendant on Sunday, I was under the belief that the internet charges were reversed once I revealed that I was a Bonvoy member, a fact that was apparently not on their record. The charges were not reversed and I expect a credit of 32.73 made to my Discover card. 2. The back of the bathroom sliding door was absolutely filthy. I noticed this on day two. At this time, this is absolutely unacceptable. Visitors are made to believe that every precaution is taken in sanitizing the room. 3. It took 3 requests over 18 hours to get two additional towels. I understand limiting contact by not cleaning the room daily, but when I am paying as if the cleaning is still taking place, getting towels should not be this difficult. 4. COVID policy: Every door and at the counter are signs identifying that masks are required and there was absolutely NO effort to enforce this policy for MY SAFETY. In general, guests were not asked to wear one when not doing so. There was a gathering at the bar Saturday night (which I will be reviewing state of Missouri policy for capacity, expectations for businesses, and punishment to see if there was an official violation, but NONE were wearing masks. When I went to complain about the noise and the way that drunk individuals were wondering into the hall hollering and cackling, the employee at the desk (don't know her name because she had no name tag) wasn't wearing a mask, apparently unaware of the sign on the counter in front of her identifying the mask required policy. Hen asked about no one wearing masks, she was dismissive and said that there was nothing she could do and that it was not her responsibility. Whose responsibility is it? By being the agent of the hotel that has identified the interest in my personal safety, it is her responsibility. 5. The extremely disruptive party at the bar and in the lobby that spilled into the hall was ridiculously loud and obnoxious and excessively drunk after midnight, when I finally placed a complaint with the staff member at the desk. There was very little concern for my comfort and the fact that I was unable to rest after a long day and a long drive ahead of me for the next day. I have never had an experience of noise to this level in any of my stays as any other property. As a result of the Covid issues, I am currently waiting for my Covid test while being home from work and may very well choose to quarantine as a result of the poor handling of Covid protocol at the hotel.

    Not hospitable

    With nothing close by youre at their mercy for food and drinks. Very expensive with small portions and mediocre meals. Even the WiFi was a fee. Rooms are old and worn The only positive I can say is the woman who serves breakfast is very friendly and helpful.

    Hot rooms, unable to cool

    This hotel is very close to the airport, so great location if that's what you're needing. But be prepared for a limited service hotel with a number of shortcomings. On my most recent stay, the room was hot (76) and I was unable to either open a window or get the A/C on. A call to "At Your Service" at 11:00 PM yielded a return call a few minutes later, informing me there had been a maintenance issue and the room would start cooling immediately. Didn't happen. Slept on top of the covers because it was so hot and the next morning, the temp hadn't moved. No lounge on the weekend (not sure if they have one) but went to breakfast. Ordered food and they delivered in a to-go container and handed me a bottle of water. Generous portion but eating from a box with a bottle of water wasn't the most luxurious experience. Would likely stay elsewhere in the future, as this hotel struggles.
