  Excelente para hacer un descanso

  Vine x negocios pero el entorno y la atención de la gente es realmente para no perderse. Pare en la habitación 616 y deben pedir esa si o si. Hermosa vista de día y de noche. La calidad de la comida excelente! Si les queda de paso no dejen de parar una noche!

  Hermoso lugar

  Ubicado en un hermoso lugar de escocia, es excelente para pasar una noche y descansar. Las habitaciones además de ser muy lindas, tienen una vista hermosa. Tiene un parque grande para caminar y relajarse. El desayuno es muy bueno.

  Overpriced cold coffee

  Took my mum for a coffee last week as was passing Oldmeldrum anyway stopped for a drink. We were seated placed an order for a coffee and a hot chocolate, they were both cold. None of the staff were about so went to the front desk after deciding to just leave instead of asking for another. They told us we could not pay there so they would have to get someone else to come to the desk. After waiting 10 minutes to pay and telling the waitress they were both cold she didn't seem that interested and just said sorry about that. £8 for two cold drinks is not acceptable for a 4 star establishment.

  Very Good All Round

  This is almost everyone's image of a classic country house hotel. Roaring fire in the entrance lobby, gothic-style architecture, a beautiful 'cave' bar and an excellent restaurant. We stayed for 5 nights and it was top class from start to finish. Definitely recommended.

  One family dinner experience marred our stay

  As previous travellers have noted the general ambience was good with, yes, lovely fires in the entrance lobby and cave bar. What a shame the roaring fire in the beautiful sitting room was replaced by the presence of candles. During these covid restricted times we stayed for three days so that we could see our family, who live nearby. Our exceptionally clean bedroom was lovely with beautiful views of the golf course and the majority of the staff were friendly and attentive. All was going well until our family visited for dinner on the Monday evening. Two of our young granddaughters, aged six and seven, are diabetic type one and one of them is also sadly coeliac. The reception staff had reassured my daughter several weeks previously that the gluten-free requirement would be attended to by the chef. I repeated this requirement on our initial Sunday arrival at the hotel reception. At the beginning of our meal the chef highlighted those dishes, which were gluten free. Sadly and worryingly the desserts the children requested were not those eventually delivered, and ,thankfully, we managed to remove the non gluten-free dessert from my coeliac daughter before she started to eat it. My husband received a different dessert to what he had ordered as well. Service up to this point was exceptionally slow. We were then told that the smarties on the sundae, which had been ordered, were not actually the gluten free variety as originally highlighted as gluten-free by the chef. After 2 hours for a 2 course dinner for 4 adults and three children under the age of 10, we would appreciate reassurance from the management that this was a one off, never to be repeated experience. After our stay a survey was sent online to me, which I duly completed. I have had no reply, despite specifically requesting one. I also note that, so far, negative comments do not receive a response from the the hotel management on this website. I do hope that this will now change.
