  Great new hotel in the centre of Almaty, beautiful and very modern rooms with big bathroom, very good location, nice bar, excellent breakfast+lunch+dinner, nice spa, great staff, for me personally best hotel in town

  Excellent stay

  I had an excellent stay in this well located and modern hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. The young man working in the restaurant was outstanding, he was polite, friendly and engaging. Food in the restaurant was delicious. The range of food available for breakfast was good, my only minor gripe with breakfast was there is no cooking station, which means that food such as eggs and omelets are cooked in the kitchen and then kept warm, resulting in overcooking. Other than that, a good stay all round and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

  Great location and spa. Above average hotel gym. Amazing mountain view veiled by smog :(

  I was a walk-in guest early February, 2020. The hotel, especially the spa level has a breathtaking view before the smog starts to develop, which doesn't happen on all days. The breakfast buffet was very well maintained and the staff was very attentive. Best of all, the buffet had many meat options - much more so than hotels in The United States or Western Europe etc. I do not remember if breakfast came with my stay or if I paid for it before hand. Do NOT expect English to be common in Almaty, but it is was spoken well by the staff. Hotel gyms are generally bad, but this was okay for someone that trains with weights. The hotel does not have a pool, but the spa at the top level has four hot tubs and various types of sauna & bath experiences, including a frigidairium. There were also three different types of shower type experiences, I believe. I hope Almaty can improve their air pollution situation in the near future. Some winter days are fine, while some are irritating to your eyes and lungs. The rooms have windows that you can safely open. Even at floor #9, which was quite high, you are not above the air pollution. Mercure Almaty has picturesque view of the mountains - wouldn't it be nice if you could always clearly see them?

  comfortable stay in central almaty

  modern, clean, central, excellent amenities such as fitness center with beautiful view over the mountain range , kitchen average may be improved but service was very careful. service very careful and efficient. Cannot say but good things and hope to return in my next stay

  Staff do not seem Covid aware

  Breakfast room staff were not wearing masks which I think is contrary to local laws. Also wiping down tables with the same cloth and no disinfectant spray in sight. Housekeeping staff walking round the hotel also maskless. The management needs to retrain staff as a matter of urgency .
