  Como en casa!!

  En abril, mi familia y yo fuimos a York y nos alojamos en Midway House. Era la segunda vez que nos alojamos allí. Está situado cerca del centro de la ciudad (se puede ir a pie o en autobús). Las habitaciones son muy comfortables, todas son muy limpias, y el "desayuno inglés" es excelente. Pero lo mejor de todo, son los propietarios Ian y Annette, te hacen sentir como si estuvieras en casa. Son muy amables, te aconsejará sobre los lugares a visitar en York, restaurantes, pubs ... Así que, si estás buscando un alojamiento en York, te recomiendo Midway House.

  Un bed & breakfast muy acogedor

  Es el tipico bed & breakfast ingles llevado por un matrimonio muy amable. Las habitaciones son muy limpias y acogedoras todas reformadas, tiene una salita de estar con su chimenea, esta a 5 minutos del centro en taxi y lo mejor el desayuno ingles recien hecho. Es muy recomendable. Tiene parking.

  Christmas shopping.

  This isnt the star rating its given, although very helpful before our arrival, when we did check in have never done such a rush and quick payment in full and shown to the room so fast. The room had a smell like someone had been sick in there so we had to have the windows open. The bed was clean and nicely made and fresh towels, but sadly it needed a good deep clean. I hate cobwebs hanging. Shower was good and plenty of hot water which was much needed. Breakfast was great and after not really seeing anyone since we checked in,it was nice to meet Pasquale on our last morning who did us a lovely breakfast and looked after us so well. Thank you.

  Cosy and well decorated place to stay.

  We stayed at this guesthouse for 1 night on our way to Newscastle all the way from Brussels. We were kindly welcomed by Paul who showed us our room and even upgraded us. Good beds. Clean room. Value for money. In the morning we enjoyed a full English breakfast made by the hands of Pasquale, the colourful chef who cheered up the guests. He even helped me out with a UK adapter as i had forgotten mine at home. Lovely place which we will definitely visit again.

  A very nice stay and really good value!!

  I came up to York to visit friends and wanted to stay somewhere different from the generic hotel. I chose the Midway Guest House as it looked very nice from the photos, a nice area only 5 minutes from the city centre by public transport and somewhere more independently run. From the minute I arrived I was welcomed and very kindly received a free upgrade due to it being the quieter season. The room itself had a double bed and en-suite with a nice 2 seater couch, kettle for tea and coffee and a tv too. The room was very well sized; can easily fit 2 people comfortably. They give you keys to your room and the front door so you can come and go as you please. I slept really well on a comfortable bed in a warm room and had both a cold and hot option breakfast available; both really nice and offered extra hot drinks and toast if I wanted more. Overall, a lovely stay; very accommodating and would recommend to family and friends and felt the least I could do was share a very positive review on here for everyone to read. If you want to go somewhere different from your premier inns, travelodges etc, definitely try a B&B; Ill be coming back again definitely! Pros: + Room size, facilities, bathroom. + despite being next to the main road you cannot hear traffic outside! (Both during the night and during busy times) + Breakfast (options of choice and the food itself) + Hospitality was brilliant!
