    Appalling staff and hotel stunk of drugs

    worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Staff were appalling.. we didnt have a room in the sea front Victorian townhouse I had booked but a dingy annex building attached to the back of the building next door. The whole building stunk of weed and old cigarette smoke! The staff situation was even worse. After being asked to move my veichel into a different car park on arrive I did as the lady asked and parked exactly where she asked me too. The next morning I got a horrible call from a members of staff basically telling me off for parking where I had saying no one else could get parked including her and then having a go at me for not leaving my car keys even though the lady the day before had explicitly said I did not need too. The lady on the phone told me I had to come back from my breakfast and more it straight away! No please or sorry for any inconvenience. So after breakfast I had to return to the hotel Which really did ruin the day! After this I was told by the man staying in the room next to us that in the morning a lady how worked for the hotel tried to park and when she struggled to then tried to set my vehicle alarm off so she could get someone to move it. How unprofessional and absurd especially when I filled out a piece of paper with all my detail including vehicle reg and room number on arrival at the reception. Surely anyone with any sense would go any check the documents you ask people to fill out on arrival. Couldnt have asked for an all around worse hotel!

    Great stay

    This is a budget hotel. So you cant expect the standards of a 5 star! We had a great stay. We only wanted it to sleep in as we were out all day. Just how we like it. The staff were so helpful especially Nicky when I was trying to book the hotel in the first place. But saying that they were all really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great and was served quickly. The parking situation was fine by us as we know that Weymouth can be a nightmare for parking. So having to pay a deposit for a permit was no problem. Everything was put into place for Covid and I felt completely safe there. The location is amazing. I cant fault the place and we will be back. Thank you for a lovely stay

    Second visit and even better

    This was a little trip away with my husband for 4 nights, this is our second visit. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who booked us into our room. The room we stayed I was as room 104: on entering the room we were delighted. The room was very spacious with a separate sofa, the en-suite was very clean. The room was also very clean and tidy. Obvious care had been taken due to the Covid situation. Bed was really comfortable and a good nights sleep was had by all. The view was outstanding looking straight across the bay. Breakfast was amazing and couldnt be faulted, lots of choice and lots of it. One night we had an evening meal, it was very good indeed. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Paul in particular upon leaving was very helpful. The owner was also very good and helped us load our car. Would definitely return.

    If you stay at the Hilton you get ants - Quoted by the owner of Mon Ami. (Loraine)

    If you like ants in your bed, if you like a cupboard sized shower room with no extractor, no ventilation in the room as the windows are nailed shut against the car park go for it, book the Mon Ami. If that what would suit your needs, you have found the place. Weymouth does not deserve a hotel of this standard, such a shame for the community. Once complained to management, never answered until we persistently rang. When answered was very rude and called by the incorrect name for a start. We have complained and been treated so poorly my husband does not want me to waist anymore energy as this has made us extremely drained. AVOID LORAINE - and for her information we have stayed at many times at the Hilton. Loraine said if you was to stay at the Hilton you would get ants, and guess what we have and hadnt happened. Very disappointed do not recommend.

    INLOVE !!!

    I love this hotel. Amazing atmosphere, I went with my family before the lockdown and was welcomed by a lovely receptionist which told me it was a £20 deposit for the car parking for a permit. Which was absolutely fine and allowed us to park on any of the streets behind the hotel. Originally we paid for a family room+ sofa bed for my little brother. We got upgraded to a sea view, may I say it was absolutely beautiful. Beautiful view, very modern room. Very clean and up to the COVID standards. We had our towels and plenty teas, coffees etc.. on our trip we also spoke to the manager who had a really positive attitude about her staff and hotel, which was really really lovely to see. When you go on holiday you expect the place your starting to be to be as good as the place your going. And it was absolutely amazing. We had food in the hotel (three chimneys) I had a beautiful hunters chicken Thank you the mom ami/Richmore for making my familys holiday!!!!!!
