  A friend of mine had a family member who got married and we stayed at Lake Houma Inn for a few days. The room's at this motel are gorgeous. They have been remodeled and has flat screen tv's with a full size refrigerator. The bed's are very comfortable and were able to get a good night's sleep. Although I would not recommend the place to my friends. The housekeeping staff here are horrible not to mention the front desk clerk who was a older woman by the name of Joice. She was rude to the max! Not a goodmorning or a good day. This lady was rude with a bad attitude when she spoke. Not good business! I will not be staying here again.

  Amazing!!!!

  Enjoyed my stay here.Newly renovated rooms with great extended stay rates. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and giant flat screen TV what else would i need? Laundromat in house. I'll definitely stay here again!!!

  Great Place to stay

  The Lake Houmas Inn was a true pleasure during my month long stay. Hotel staff and owner are just great! The rooms are very comfy. Beds are great, AC is great....Service from staff is great! Newly renovated rooms. Quiet location but close to everything. Don't hesitate to book here.....this is Houmas lil known secret....Room rates are great for the area!...As far as security....Outdoor cams keep an eye on everything. I liked this being my work truck was parked outside. Never an issue during my stay!!!!....

  Traveling

  Rooms were clean but bed hard , old out dated carpet , drapes , and bed spreads. Not very many towels left no water pressure. Pillow cases and sheets looked stained but over all a cheap deal for friends.

  Worst ever

  the most horrible experience I have ever had with the hospitality industry. Let me start by saying that I have stayed in Motel 6's for 20 years and have not had a awful experience until last night. On October 11th I made a reservation through Expedia, who I have used countless times with absolutely no problems, for a single night king size deluxe in Houma Louisiana. I arrived at 11:30pm I informed the desk clerk that I made my reservation with Expedia she stated that she wasn't sure how to look up a reservation because she was new. Then she asked to see my ID and credit card stating she needed to verify both. After 35 minutes she had trouble even making a key card. I finally get to my room and much to my disgust I open the door and the odor of mold and mildew was extremely overwhelming. The room was disgusting. Stains from unknown sources on the ceiling and furniture. I had to spray an entire can of Lysol just to be able to sit in the room on the couch with the door closed and eat what little food I was able to stomach before every bug in the parish came out to say hello. The smoke detector was smashed up and hanging from wires. The dirty nasty furniture was broken beyond repair. The box spring on the bed was atrocious. It had mold and mildew and what appeared to be blood stains along the side. I walked into the restroom I happen to look in the tub and there was hair not only in the tub but stuck to the bathtub. I was so uncomfortable that my husband had to clean the restroom before I was able to use the facilities. Because of the time of night and how exhausted we were we did not leave immediately and locate a different motel or hotel, but we should have. I felt unsafe all night because the safety latch was missing from the door. My husband got very little sleep because he felt unsure of our safety and he has been in law enforcement for many many years. The next morning I woke up and got myself together and checked out as soon as I could. Well to my utter shock and dismay the nightmare wasn't over by any measure. I discovered that not only did I get charged by Expedia but Motel 6 also charged my credit card. I called the Motel 6 property and informed the clerk of the problem and she told me that she would look into the matter and call me back. Four hours later I still didn't have any calls from the clerk. My husband had enough, he called and informed them that he wanted the money returned to my card ASAP. Joyce, the manager whom he spoke with, told him that my credit card was not charged twice and when my husband informed her that I had printed receipts and bank statements, she said that if he had a problem he would have to call back when a manager was available. She insisted there was not a manager available today but we later found out that Joyce is the manager. There was absolutely no level of customer service. No one at this property was willing to help resolve this. So I decided to contact Motel 6 corporate offices and I spoke with guest relations and they did everything they could including supplying me with Expedia phone number. They also made a report and emailed all the documents to me. I then called Expedia and in 5 minutes they refunded their charge because I wasn't getting anywhere with the motel staff.
