  Never book here.Rude & terrible front desk, broken toilet door,old outdated rooms

  Stayed here 27-30 Jul booked 3 rooms.Initially booked under Manathai Hua Hin, but later they changed name to New Horton Hua Hin and was not informed. It was so troublesome just to get the manager to verify our booking was still confirmed. Upon arriving on 27 July/12pm, 2 receptionist did not greet us,and looked bothered when we ask them if we can check in early. The response was "check-in 2pm". Upon entering our rooms 405/406/407,we saw our toilet door was broken (room405). Another room406, had no bedding on the bed platform.After asking housekeeping to check, apparently they forgot to put the bedding! Upon checking out, the receptionist claims we broke the "no smoking" sign and wanted to charge us 100thai baht.We told them it was already in 2 pieces when we check-in, why didn't they mention this during our stay, only to mention this during checkout. As expected, no apologies were offered and even spoke to us loudly and rudely. Never shall we step foot at this hotel.

  Name keeps changing but a decent hotel.

  The New Horton Hotel was previously the Manathai Hotel. The location and layout of the hotel has a lot going for it. Less that 5 minute casual walk to the night market and only 3 blocks to the beach entrance. The hotel is 5 stories and if you get a room on the top 2 floors you will have a nice view city and the Gulf of Thailand. One real plus for me is the secure covered parking right in front of the lobby. While others have complained about the staff I have always had a great time and great service at this hotel. Having stayed there many times the staff remembers us and always are very friendly.

  First and LAST TIME at Hua Hin (If i can gave 0 rating)

  Been to many holidays with families in Thailand , i guess this hotel would be rated the worst hotel in life. One of the female staff were rude when we asked questions. We book a room for 3 adults via Otels.com (by MetGlobal) and when we check the room , there were only 2 towels and no add-on beds. When we ask one of the female staff , she say because we didn't leave any notes at Otels.com that 3 person is checking in. There is only a double bed + sofa in room (as per photo attach). If we want to add 1 towels , it will be 100baht for each day. Extra bed will be another charges. i would not go through much about toilets tho , if you read earlier post , there are travellers who mention it. Later I wrote to Otels.com , although feedback was given , but i did not receive any reply after Otels.com promise to reply my email. The last email given to me is that local operators did not pick up their calls. Today i book a room for 3 persons , i paid for 3 persons , only this hotel gave me a reply , saying that facilities given in room will be only 2. I did not faced such problems in Bangkok , and i get an extra bed for myself in hotel at Bangkok. Attitude problems ? you judge it if you decide to stay. i do not wish to see another person who falls for this type of traps again.

  1st visit to Hua Hin

  Had a long journey to Hua Hin arriving at about 6.30pm. Expecting to see a welcoming view of the hotel but was sadly disappointed. Small entrance facing the road which my driver almost missed. Nobody at the porch to welcome you except for a mannequin which we eventually established it to be an overweight spiderman, lol. Front Office Staff were pleasant as they tried their best to be friendly with their limited fluency in English. After checking in, the next surprise we encountered was the lift. Max load stated was 630kg for 8 pax. However, it showed overload when I only had a family of 4... have we grown that much already? Room was decent looking, clean. However, not 100% functional as some reviews have stated. My toilet door was faulty, and the room was poorly lit. Had a hard time trying to get the water temperature right as the heater reacted too slowly and I almost scalded myself. There was a small balcony which I could see the sunrise from, but the overall view was far from pleasant. We could see the pool from the balcony and it is definitely not as what was shown on the internet. Not too much to complain about its location though. 5 mins walk to the night markets makes it much convenient but nothing very much else to commend it on. I always feel that choosing a right hotel is important to determine whether the holiday would be a pleasant one, and unfortunately, looks like it isn't the type of start I'm looking for.

  it was ok not the best hotel in hua hin

  We was a bit dubious about going to this hotel after reading the reviews but it was no where near as bad as we thought .Get past the strange little reception friendly staff and we got a lovely clean room on top floor with nice view however the toilet door was dodgy but nothing too bad. the worst thing was the breakfast dont bother its awful the best thing was location central to everything . would we stay again yes but it wouldnt be first choice
