  Wonderful hotel in beautiful Germany

  Hotel Niedersfeld is a quaint, charming and authentic hotel in the beautiful area around Winterberg. If you like to have a drink before dinner, the typically German 'beerstube' is a nice place to get a special German beer or a mixed drink. The restaurant is very authentic and some travelers say they have been coming back for years to enjoy it's charm. The food is good and wholesome and Hotel Niedersfeld sometimes has great offers during holidays. The hotel also has a great swimmingpool with sauna. Excellent place to relax after a day of skiing or hiking outdoors. The staff is very friendly and will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Whether you want to go on a romantic trip with your partner or spend some time with friends or family (the hotel has a great family room) this is a good place to go. You might even want to try the special German sport in the 'Kegelbahn'. Just order a large beer and enjoy the fun. We are definitely going back, rain or shine, snow or not.

  Great place.

  We decided to look around in the Saurland area and found a great deal for this hotel. The owner or proprietor checked us in and we were informed about the hotel and the area. Right away you notised the enthusiastic way of running this hotel. The whole staff was very very friendly and forthcomming. We had dinner twice in the "beerstube" and it was very well prepared by the chef in the kitchen. Our room was not big, but a perfect size, as you are not staying in a lot if you want to visit the area. We went for a walk every day to the little Staumeer, not fare from the hotel. A great walk there and around it. If you need dinner and the restaurant of the hotel is closed for "Ruhetag", I will warm rcomment the little italian/german restaurant just outside Niedersfeld on the way to Winterberg. Best pizza ever and so very cheap! I have no hesitations what so ever to recommend this hotel, with its great personel.

  Outdoors and Relax

  We stayed 4 days! On arrival we were welcomed by the owner and got a small tour of the hotel. How wonderful it is after a day outdoors to swim in the hotel pool, relax in the sauna and have a drink in the authentic "bierstube"! Great place & staff!!

  Quick stop for excellent local food and service in the bar of the hotel

  Connected to the hotel we had a quick dinner on our way back home in the small German bar where the local people enjoy their beer in a good atmosphere. They have a plate service for people that do not like to use the restaurant of the hotel. This night Melanie took care of us and although it was busy we received excellent attention, beer, schnitzel and burger in a short time so we could continue our journey quickly. Tip; Do not order the large schnitzel, the regular one is already XXL
