  Good location

  There are not many choices in this area. We chose this hotel because Novotel brand... Hotel is a bit out of date All facility and amenity meet Novotel standard Staffs were friendly and helpful. Food was ok, but there are lot of local restaurant nearby.

  Need Renovation, old, date, nosiy,

  This hotel is the only brand chain of hotels in Chumphon as i believe. So, you have no choice if you are looking for 4-5 stars hotel here. However, the hotel is very old and i believe it was over 30 years and need to renovate so bad. The decoration in the hotel is dated and decay with many spots of dusty. - Bathroom is very dated Style. - Air condition is so loud and i can't sleep. - Very Noisy outside as the room can't keep the sound in and out. - TV is terrible no color and not clear. - Bed and pillow is ok - Breakfast is disappointed for Novotel Brand. It looks like 2 stars hotel from what they provided and quality. The only thing that is ok and make me feel that i am stay at Novotel is Services. It is the only thing that meet the standard of the brand.

  Not up to Novotel Standard - by name only -

  As an Accor Gold Card member, I have my fair share of experiences with Novotels incl in Thailand. This place is not anywhere near a Novotel standard. We checked-in at 9pm; Front Desk staff were like a bunch of kids (without adult supervision) playing'thotel' .absolutely unprofessional. The room (2222) was dark even in daytime; aircon blasting away all night, I hardly slept. No proper bedside reading lights - only strong lights mounted in the ceiling above the bed ..shining directly into the eyes. The reading light behind the sofa ..the foot switch is only accessible by moving the entire sofa. Furniture is clunky, old and dark. Breakfast spread look tired; staff was listless, no smiles, no friendly faces. The coffee was terrible. We decided to drive to a Cafe Amazon instead for breakfast.

  In need of a facelift

  Stayed in chumporn on the way from Bangkok to Phuket. This Novotel is old and in need of a facelift. The rooms and public areas were clean but the furnishings are dated. Breakfast was average. Best thing about the room was the super sized king bed. Very comfortable. I went fir a walk around the golf course in the morning and it is in poor condition. Maybe a result of the COVID 19 situation in Thailand. Hotel is suitable for an overnight stay if you are transiting through Chumporn but I would not recommend it for a golf trip or family vacation

  Not even worth trying

  I booked this hotel on 3 February for a stay on 19 February through their Accor application since Im an Accor Plus member. I got a confirmation promptly as usual. However, on 8 February I visited their official website again as I wanted to change the room type booked, I found no room availability to book any stay date before 21 February. I suspected the hotel might be closed so I called the hotel directly to investigate but I could not reach any person and was only to listen to a long automatic message saying the hotel was temporarily closed due to Covid-19 from 15 January until 15 February 2021 and aimed to reopen on 16 February (which should be fine for my stay on 19 February). Anyway, for my peace of mind I wrote an email on the same day to the hotels general email address to double check to make sure the hotel would be open when I show up at the hotel, no response nor acknowledgement at all until today (10 February). Without any courtesy phone call or a formal/personal email to explain or to apologize for causing me an inconvenience, I only received an automatic email in my inbox a reservation cancellation. This is truly rude, careless and lack of hospitality. I will never even want to try to stay at this hotel again and wont recommend it to anyone, being thoughtlessly treated this way.
