  Adequate but nothing more

  The best thing of this premise is the location. And that the ac works well. Everything else hardware wise needs some refurbishment and one up notchin. Front desk service was polite but confidential information was shared without first verifying the identity of whom the information was disclosed too. Not great.

  Reasonable price for a pretty good location

  This hotel is clean and staff are friendly. As some have pointed out, some of the furnishings are a little bit outdated. Price is quite affordable. Location is great - close by to some good bars and food options, eg The Commons, Ainu, etc. Drawback is the distance to the Thong Lor BTS - but is easily solvable by requesting for the free tuk tuk ride there. They even pick you up if required.

  Rude Staff

  Dining staff are the worst! They talk behind your back while walking around you rumbling in their local language you don't understand as if to "subtly" tell you something. They should have just said it in your face in english or a language you understand instead! And after 5 minutes of doing that, they shut off the lights at your table very specifically while other tables (with Caucasian/Western guests) were still lit. Worst hotel I've been in Southeast Asia - and this is coming from a fellow Southeast Asian. I've been to many other hotels elsewhere in Southeast Asia and was never treated this way.

  BEST SERVICE, ROOMS & PEOPLE!

  Oakwood Residence Thonglor has the most friendly & excellent service! My uncle had a medical emergency and after being released from the hospital we were lucky to find. Oakwood Thonglor. The staff has gone above and beyond to help with everything & they are like a family to us. It is perfect for Medical Tourism (3 mins. from Samitivej Hospital Sukhumvit "Best hospital in Bangkok"), Corporate and Holiday Makers! Also it is close to the best food and shopping in Bangkok!   Staff are fantastic new rooms are great old need love. food and bars good not far from sky train plus tuk tuk from Oakwood check out the area on what you want to do and plan as traffic in BKK can be bad, hence why its great to you the Sky train. the top floors of oak wood I think are now finished but best ring to find out. The staff make you feel very warm and welcome every time I go which is very often over the years
