  We will return!

  If you are looking to the off-the-beaten path Piemonte surroundings, this is a great place. It's the typical B&B that also operates a restaurant and a deli store. The owners/operators are incredibly accommodating, but this is not unusual in Italian B&Bs. The room in which we stayed did not have firm beds, but it's a small inconvenience compared to everything else. The court yard is breathtaking, as are the small town streets and surrounding farms. The B&B is adjacent to the church. If you are not into bell tolling know that you will hear a chime every single hour. We found this to be very peaceful. The price-to-quality ratio was superb. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but you will find a lot of organic dishes, most of them of the area, including rabbit, wild boar, and of course great wines. If you are celiac, they will do everything in their power to make it work! Torino is not far, but be prepared for quite a hilly ride from town to town, and eventually to whatever freeway you need. Everything slows down in this part of the country. Don't rush!

  "La Corte del Barbio" is a lovely B&B located up the hills surrounding Asti. It is a quiet "angolo di paradiso", as we would say in Italian. The building was restored and restyled recently making sure all of its original beauty was kept untouched. We stayed in a very big room with thick bricked walls that made us feel like we traveled through time. The rest of the village, as many of the villages around Aramengo, is incredibly quiet and picturesque. The first night there we tried the restaurant too. Food was delicious and they have an excellent selection of wines. It is the perfect place to treat yourself and recharge your batteries.

  Very small local place

  My husband and I ordered one night at the La Corte del Barbio. Very friendly staff and the young lady actually could some English whereas the chef couldn't. Nice clean rooms, fine breakfast yet very Italian (well we were in Italy ;-) Quite far from everything, calm and sleepy city. Authentic food worth the money

  Slim wine winners

  Well was lucky enough to be invited on a tour of the slim wine vineyards and wow The scenery was breathtaking the perfume in the air was relaxing and the area left you feeling content in life we stayed at Le Corte and it was a little piece of heaven The most friendliest staff the finest food and the wine the company we went with were amazing and it was a privilege the share in there passion for wine making It was amazing to see there world The owners invited us in and it was fantastic to be part of there family for a short but unforgettable moment You havent tasted food and wine till you have it in Italy with a family The area was tranquil spotless and unspoilt I have never wanted to stay longer than anywhere else than here I fell in love with Italy x ..... but driving there was well manic
