  Nothing Spectacular

  Hotel room was nothing too great. Had some stains on the carpet. Parking was very difficult and not the nicest since you have to park in the back. Staff did not know what was going on. They said breakfast was 6-10 and when we got there at 9:30 they told me there wasn't any breakfast. LOL. The A/C and heater is on the ceiling which was a little weird. It is no way a 3 star hotel. More like 2.

  Definitely A New Experience

  We have been grounded due to Covid-19 and elected to return here for an extended stay. The staff is attentive and amazing. However, housekeeping cleanliness is dependent on whose servicing your room. Several time, Ive elected to clean my own room and have had to ask for some routine services. They definitely honored my Choice Rewards status, but Im increasingly concerned with the changes that will occur with the new owners. One of which is the cancellation of breakfast completely and the change of management. The pool is comforting and beautiful, I still love the retro feel of the environment along with the aviary in the courtyard. Ive stayed here before and highly enjoyed my stay, but since the rates have declined - so has the 5-star experience. The only reason Im still here is because its an awesome rate as I prepare to resume travels and I love the positivity of the staff.

  Lovely property needs management enhancement

  This is a lovely property with a quirky vibe, clean and comfortable, good service from the staff. The biggest issue is that 95% of guests are not wearing masks or social distancing in the small enclosed lobby, nor are most of the staff members despite signs posted everywhere. In addition, this hotel actually takes the $150 deposit from your credit card at check-in. It is not just an authorization or pending charge in case they need it for damage. They actually take the money as part of the total bill at check-in and then it has to be refunded in 7-10 days after departure. I have never seen this practice at any hotel and did not appreciate it.

  Clean but other issues

  The hotel was very clean but the beds were horrible uncomfortable. Someone left white underwear near my door when I got back from dinner. It was likely dropped by housekeeping I assume. It was quiet with the exception of the fire alarm going off early in the am. Tried calling the front desk several times with no answer. The cooling and heating system made noise so I had to sleep with my headphones.

  Pictures are lies

  We booked the Countryside view and paid extra for the suite. It was dirty and NO VIEW. We looked at stairs. Picture included. People were nice but the the pictures on the web site are not the same as the current rooms.
