  Como Arnie dijo: "volveremos!"

  Mi marido yo, y dos de nuestros amigos nos alojamos una noche en el hotel Powdermills en octubre por el asesinato noche de misterio. Tuvimos un tiempo absolutamente fantástico - toda la noche estaba muy bien organizada y la comida era deliciosa. Nos sirvieron cangrejo y el cangrejo seguido de pechuga de pollo asada con una deliciosa salsa cremosa, verduras frescas y chocolate 'bomba' rellenos de crema Amaretto de hielo, petit-fours y café. Normalmente tengo un muy mal apetito, pero tengo que decir que la comida estaba exquisita. El desayuno de la mañana siguiente era apetitoso también, - creo que estuvimos primero en el Invernadero. El desayuno inglés fue preparado justo. - Me gustó que la camarera incluso nos preguntara cómo nos gustaría a cada uno, nuestros huevos, si fritos o cocidos. Nuestra habitación era preciosa, con armarios antiguos, camas y otros muebles, Estaban justo para dar un ambiente elegante. La habitación de nuestros amigos era igualmente una delicia, e incluso tenía una cama con dosel. Por la mañana nos pasamos bastante tiempo deambulando por las zonas comunes de la bebida en la atmósfera del hotel y luego nos fuimos a dar un paseo por los jardines y hasta el lago. Todos disfrutamos de nuestra estancia y ya estamos planeando una visita de regreso. La próxima vez estamos planeando traer cañas de pescar y nuestros perros. Fue una sorpresa muy agradable para nosotros descubrir que el hotel es amable con los perros. En general, no fue la menos cara noche que pasamos lejos, pero es sin duda una de las más agradables. Todos nos sentimos toda la Murder mystery / cena / dormir sobre la experiencia era realmente buena relación calidad-precio en los alrededores.

  Lovely stay, lovely staff!

  Just had a really relaxing 3 night break. The staff were all pleasant, welcoming and helpful. We had a nice room overlooking the front of the hotel with plenty of space. The breakfast was delicious. Because of covid, we ordered the night before, chose a time slot and it all worked like clockwork. The grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately we couldn't make the most of them as the weather was bad, but we did have a look around. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay here.

  Very Good

  Got a good one night deal from secret escapes in a excutive room with breakfast. The room was good with a four poster bed, but no (drapes), which made it look silly. Good period furniture through out the hotel and plenty of lounges to sit in and drink tea. Had evening meal from the standard menu, but could do with chicken and leak pie, sausage and mash and gammon and egg added to it. The full English breakfast was far from full and needs making bigger like two of everything as it looked mean and lost on the big plate served. The grounds are magnificent , loads of walks, lakes, woods to explore, over all a great night away and would return.

  Watch Out for their Pricing and Invoicing

  We booked a wedding at the Powdermills Hotel in October 2018. We met with the Wedding Co-ordinator who provided a hand written quote for the cost of the wedding. On the basis of this we paid a deposit. A couple of weeks later we received a typed quote and the same specification was the same but the price had increased significantly. We were greatly aggrieved by this and after much negotiation they finally agreed to stick with the original quote. However, a couple of guests noticed that there were errors on the invoices for their rooms being charged for services or facilities that they had not received. We tried ringing the hotel to complain but we were told no manager was available and we would need to speak to the book keeper who worked part time. We phoned the book keeper a couple of times without success and left messages on the answerphone but they never returned the call. We never did get a refund. So if you do book with this hotel, check all your paperwork carefully and dont pay them anything until you have checked the accuracy of the invoice.

  Return trip, better than before.

  Covid-19 has had an enormous impact on the hospitality sector, and also our travel plans this year, so we decided to treat ourselves to a night away at the PowderMills Hotel. The usual restrictions around Covid-19 are in place, and well-observed within the hotel, it's just the new 'normal' now for most of us. Face masks in public places, etc. The staff were all excellent, from check-in to check-out. We enjoyed a large spacious room, with two sofas, large TV, and views across the front pond. Everything we needed was ready and waiting for us. We chose to eat in the restaurant, having eaten there last time around and found the food to be even better than last time. The wine was reasonably priced, the food was delicious, well presented, and good value for money. Due to the low numbers staying at the hotel, we were in conservatory, rather than the normal Orangery restaurant. Our only 'gripe' was the poor water pressure in the shower, other than that, we couldn't find fault with the stay at all.
