  Well maintained hotel just 3 minutes walk from Fort Provintia

  Stayed at the hotel for two nights in early January 2017. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the Tainan Train Station (better take a taxi if you are carrying heavy luggages) and just steps from Fort Provintia (Chihkan Tower). It is also within walking distance to some well-knownTaiwanese restaurants. The twin room we stayed in was clean and spacious though the renovation was a bit outdated. Wifi was OK inside the room though not too stable on the first night. Staff at the reception was helpful and assisted in calling restaurants to make bookings for dinner. Basic buffet breakfast was served in the restaurant on 8/F.

  Test case ~ actually have more choices

  The hotel is near the red cut and walk for about 5 minutes. It is quite convenient for several monuments and attractions, and the hotel offers cycling and motorbikes for sightseeing in Tainan. But also provide free parking, but the underground parking lot when the need to go to the opposite side of the road parking lot, a little inconvenient. The hotel offers a simple breakfast ~

  Past glory looking forward revival

  The hotel was under renovation during our stay. The property shows its age but the staff do their upmost to keep up while the renovation progresses. Convenient location, good bedding, clean good sized room. Unblocked view towards the Chihkan tower. My luggage was damaged after I left it at the bell counter at early check in. The manager and the staff worked to find a workable fix for the rest of the trip. Wifi does not work if that is important to you.

  Good location, poor managenent

  The hotel is in good location, very close to train station. Poor front desk staff, no smile, do not have the warm Taiwan welcome. Rooms are dirty and poorly maintained, Breaskfast are poor cooking and poor quality. Overall the hotel is highly disappointing. The hotel needs real professional to run. Now it only deserves one star.

  Bad mattress gives me backache. Ripped towels

  I do not recommend this hotel as of 1/2020 due to bad mattress and very old towels. Mattress has no support at all. Its like laying on the ground, very hard. The towels are ripped and fraying, super thin as well. The air conditioner cannot be adjusted. Its either on full blast super cold or off. I didnt sleep well at all. There are 2 balconies but not much of a view. Its nice to get some air and look out at the markets below. There is mini fridge. The decorations are very old style. Drapes are worn. Linens are clean, bathroom is clean. I would not stay again.
