  Newcastle stay made extra special

  We booked a Harbour view room for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary but due to a room allocation mistake we were upgraded to an Ocean View room. Hotel location is excellent! It is directly opposite Newcastle Beach. Highly recommended!

  GREAT view! GREAT location! GREAT staff! Comfy beds!

  Wow, talk about a fantastic location... 2 of the 4 stars are basically for the location! Literally RIGHT on the beach, uninterupted views of the water, I spent ages sitting outside on the balcony sipping a coffee and watching the surfers catch the waves, its just so relaxing.
  p.s. The noise of the waves is very loud so if you think this is going to upset your sleep, you have been warned :) The location of this hotel is just fantastic, its also a close walk to the main centre where the shops etc are - too far away to walk to the supermarkets though but its nice and close to the touristy places and the main restaurants and bars - its a great place to also start the coastal walk from. Hotel staff are very friendly There are a few really nice cafes walking distance from the hotel which are great for breakfast.

  Superb location & views

  This is our second visit to Noahs. Theres nowhere else on the NSW coast which can offer this view and location at this level of affordability. The building is a bit daggy but the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. There isnt a pool, but it is not needed. It is the perfect spot with a child as its just a stones throw to the kids beach pool. Ill be back again. Ill

  Rooms fine, dining and customer service very lacking.

  Room and booking process were faultless. Room was as described neat and newly renovated bathroom. We prepaid for breakfast, it was very poor, and very basic. I had ordered eggs Benedict and an latte. The eggs came out on a plate as one store bought muffins cut in half lightly toasted smother in half cooked bacon and two poached eggs accompanied with a small pourer containing the béarnaise sauce. The plate looked empty. There was no greenery (spinach) or anything else on the plate. My wife ordered poached eggs, avocado and toast. She also requested a juice, this we had to pay extra for as not included in breakfast package, (first time in all our travels overseas and local we have had to pay extra for juice let alone a second latte). This breakfast plate came out with two poached eggs, half an avocado sliced and two small slices of sour dough bread, all looked lonely. The eggs were cold and inedible. The staff - majority of the staff did not seem happy or friendly. I understand the COVID rules but their general demeanor was I don't want to be here. May be staff training in customer service would be a good idea. Educate bar staff in simple math rather than having them asking the patron, how much change do I have to give you. (Could have made some money here luckily I was honest or just stunned). Dirty linen bags left on floor/foyer outside check in /check out times, room cleaning no staff sighted in areas working. Comparing prior stays here there appears to be a distinct decrease in food quality and customer service.

  UNCHANGED since 2015. Average

  Very average. Service, rooms, stay. Low value for money. Left the dining room hungry & broke. It was delicious but main was entree sized. Hard to think of anything above 3 stars, or maybe only 2. Nice views from ocean facing room though!
