  Lovely Hotel but poor WIFI

  We have just spent eight nights in Le Residence de Rohan. The room (61) was good, the staff were friendly, the garden pretty, but I found a very annoying thing, a lack of WIFI signal in our room. During our stay I could not connect to the WIFI in my room, neither on my iPad, my phone or my laptop. I had to sit in the garden to access the internet. Fortunately it was sunny most of the time. I do business online and it is imperative that I am connected to the internet. For this reason I doubt that I would go back to the Rohan Residence until I was sure that WIFI is available everywhere, because in my opinion, a lot of people need and expect to have WFI in their room. For me it's a pity because it is such a lovely hotel.

  Love this hotel

  Perfect location on the edge of the beach. Tranquil and peaceful. Clean, stylish and well kept with a lovely heated pool Comfy beds and air con. Great breakfast on the decking in the sunshine Not the cheapest hotel but well worth it

  High expectations - low reality

  No wifi in room - The further you got from reception the worse the signal got until getting to the room and no signal at all. The receptionist can back this up as we tested it with her phone but her director said it was due to maintenance in the town, which was nothing to do with why the wifi in the room didn't work/ Some of the rooms are simply too far from the router. We were offered a slight discount because of the issue but i would rather have paid full price and had functioning wifi. Bar - not staffed, had to go to reception to order drinks. Some drinks not available and most things on the light snack bar menu weren't available either. Breakfast - Very basic, especially given the high cost. Location - Excellent. Room - Clean, slightly dated furniture but bathroom was modern and very nice.

  The sound of the breeze in the pines and the waves on the beach will remain.

  Wonderful setting, this is civilised seaside. The combination of a 19th building with modern additions in a garden on a promontory above a fine beach is a winner. I am not a beach person but regretted having to leave, excellent service, food and location.

  Wonderful location close to beach. Rooms outside main building are preferably, nice quiet pool. We didn't eat here so cant comment. The rooms were well equipped large and comfortable we would definitely go back very restful didn't want to leave
