    Good location

    Externally the hotel looked really nice and was in a nice location at the edge of a mall with lots of shops and restaurants including Bonefish Grill and Carabbas. Lobby was nice but there was an odor of gas. Headed up to our room which was a good size although a little tired. There was a vent just outside our door and there was also an odor of gas. We reported this to reception and when we came back the odor was gone but later it came back again when the vent/fan was running. A little scary so we opened a window. Breakfast was also a little disappointing for a Residence Inn. Overall somewhat disappointing for a Marriott.

    AGENT ADVISED FRONT DESK MANAGER HAS COVID 19

    I must say this is the worst hotel Ive ever encountered in my Marriott stay history, as a Platium Elite I was really shocked on the customer service the check in agent provided me. The agent demanded a credit card and Identification, no problem I handed over my driver license and advised her I had a card on file, she stated she needed a credit card swipe, I advised her I had called earlier that day and asked if I can use a credit card on file or if I need a credit card authorization form and they advised me I will be fine and did not need a credit card authorization form, I advise the agent that I believe I spoke to the front desk supervisor and her reply Thats impossible, she has been out for a few days and she has the virus my reply was the virus? Her reply was YES THE COVID19 VIRUS, SHE HAS ALL THE SYMPTOMS I went on to say she shouldnt say something thats she not sure her reply was OH NO SHE HAS COVID-19 AND IM SURE SHE GOT US SICK TOO This definitely took a huge toll on my stay, it was the fact beyond customer service at this point . I was checked in already and decided to just go on with my night as it was pretty late and had all 6 of my luggages in the cart already . I must say the room was extremely spacious, the room seemed cleaned, it had enough toiletries for a few days. I did noticed the sofa bed will sink in when you sat down, and their was a broken chair, I immediately reported to the front desk and asked for a wake up call and her response was Yes whatever hmmhm, and hung up . The service is just awful, one of the worst I have ever experienced.

    Do not judge this book by its cover

    The exterior of the hotel in neglected and needs repairs/improvements. Truly a shame, because the staff is great and the interior is Marriott clean and impeccably maintained. Paint the building exterior, clean up your landscaping and please clean the pool. I know the pool is closed due to the pandemic, but that is no reason to have it look like a cesspool.

    Do not stay here!

    I have stayed at Residence Inns a lot so when I saw this one in a very upscale corporate area of Baton Rouge I thought it would be really nice to stay at during our evacuation from Hurricane Sally even though the price per night was way too expensive compared to other Residence Inn stays $300 per night seems like price gouging. Memphis was 179. Our room was very dirty, not vacuumed probably at all, it appeared to have beds made and clean towels but as we wiped everything down with Lysol to be safe with Covid I found trash near bed, hair in bathroom, and food smeared on carpet and bedroom door, a candy wrapper even got stuck on my husbands shoe. The room had stains on ceiling, doors on closet were falling off and out of tracks when touched and wall paper peeling in bathroom with tub fixtures needing repair. The couch was falling apart and fridge was so old and dented I cant believe it worked. For a corporate area hotel this was the most awful stay ever. Do not stay here ever I will never be back.

    Weve stayed here several times and when we arrive, we remember why: such an outstanding staff, warm and welcoming and so diligent about getting you into a room even when the hotel was sold-out the night before. The fitness room has free weights, machines, lots of room for stretching the laundry room is clean (right next door to fitness room) ice machine also right there, all on the first floor the Grab n Go included yogurt, milk cartons, string cheese, water bottles and a couple of microwaveable breakfast items. Coffee is self-serve starting at 6:30 weekdays, 7 a.m. weekends. Screened windows open for a breeze. There is a massive shopping plaza adjacent with every store imaginable, as well as a Whole Foods. Thank you so much to LaTandra, Grace and Sierra for taking such good care of us. Nicely done here in every respect, so good show GM Amanda! See you next time.
