  As comfortable as home

  I am staying at the Residence Inn for two months while I relocate my family to the area for a new job. The Residence Inn has been a great place to stay. Emma on the front desk is very personable and has been helpful with any requests that I have made. Gail cleaned my room and it was absolutely spotless afterwards. All the staff here is great and almost everything that you would need is in walking distance.

  Great location & suites!

  Great location across from Virginia Tech with suites, restaurants nearby & free parking! Family friendly & really quiet despite being fairly full. Very clean, strict measures in place in the time of COVID. Great views from our room looking out at the Virginia Tech Inn.

  All Star Team

  There is an All-Star team at this Residence Inn. Led by Kenny, the staff of Emily, Sierra, Jim, Sam, Emma, Gale and Nicole have helped make my last six stays feel-like-home. Its little and big things, from a pleasant greeting, to helping with reservations, to ensuring my room has everything I expect. This team is the best Ive seen for any Marriott property or any other hotel. That is a big claim and Im 100% sincere. Most importantly, Im 100% satisfied. Thank you Marriott, Kenny, and the entire team at the Residence Inn, Blacksburg, VA.

  Second Stay-Not up to Standards During Covid

  Checked in tonight. I sprayed everything down with Clorox then wiped down, almost all came back clean-that's the good. The bad-the carpet had not been vacuumed as there were large size crumbs and MULTIPLE toe nails on the rug (see pics). Bottom Kitchen drawer is filthy with coffee grinds(?). Girls at check in were not wearing face masks until we walked in and then put them on (that's great but the aerosols can linger for hours). Walked past a housekeeper who was also not wearing any mask while cleaning a room. Multiple people outside, BBQing or what not, with no face masks. Was told the hotel was sold out...not too sure if that is every room or only maximum occupancy for covid conditions according to any VA law. Lots of pluses, especially if traveling with dogs, BUT lack of Covid protocols has been difficult to overlook. Next time we pass through on our cross country trip will maybe have to look elsewhere.

  My Stay at the luxurious Residence Inn, Blacksburg, VA

  I can't say enough about the wonderful stay we had at the Residence Inn in Blacksburg, VA on March 1, 2021! The room was more than I expected with a nice full kitchen, living area, and bedroom with the open concept. Anything we needed was available, such as a bottle opener, dishware, glasses, pots, pans, etc. The luxurious large walk in shower and spacious bathroom was so nice. I will say that the concerns I had about cleanliness and sanitation was no problem at all, it was exceptional. Everything look like it was brand new, and not a speck of dirt or unclean environment could be found. The staff was friendly and very accommodating when we checked in and out. They assisted us with any questions we had about the city. If you are looking for a great place to stay, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
