  Magnífico

  Lugares espectacular en la Toscana, ideal para desconectar del mundo y relajarse. Si te gusta la náutica sin duda este es tu sitio. Las Suites son grandes y con unas vistas preciosas. El personal muy amable y servicial. Recomendable 100%.

  One star experience

  We do not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with children. Furthermore, it is a great facility but one-star service experience. With the money you spend, youd expect better. We had booked for a family consisting of 3 generations (grandparents, and we plus small kids), with a plan to enjoy the pool and some good time on the beach. We travel a lot, have seen some wonderful places and great hotels, but we never write reviews. Our experience from Resort Baia Scarlino was so appalling that we felt we needed to advice other travellers against choosing this place. Dont get me wrong, the hotel facilities and the rooms are really beautiful. It was the customer care and the attitude of the personnel that spoils everything. We arrived just to discover that they had double booked our two-floor apartment, and they claimed they upgraded us to a larger apartment on one floor, but it had been our choice the provide privacy for the grandparents with the separation of floors. The kids were anxious to splash into the pool after a long day in the car, but unfortunately the pool had a private party and we were denied access on the first day. Instead, they offered us a free of charge visit to the private beach that is approx 10 minutes walk from the resort. The hotel website misleadingly advertises a private beach with no mention of the fee involved. You need to know that what is called Casa Felice - Restaurant & Beach Club is the beach and it comes with a charge. The beach is very small by no means suitable for young children since it is rocky and our children during a short stay hurt themselves on the rocks and sea urchins. Instead, for a great beach with the kids, it is worth a drive to Follonica. On the day of departure, you wont be allowed anymore to the pool (or you pay entrance) - this amazes us and we have never seen a high-end hotel telling this to guests who are checking out. The personnel never apologised, never tried to improve our mood, and kept an attitude. In all fairness, they returned ca 15% of wed paid for the miss on the room.

  Nice but not worth the money

  Weve spent three nights at this hotel. First things first... we booked this hotel as we were under the impression that there is a private beach. Pictures and descriptions on booking portals nevertheless missguide the travellers completely though. The reception told us its owned by the same management but its not part of the hotel. EUR 40 would be the charge for a couple per day, ridiculous! Id almost call it a scam to attract guests. When we checked it out, not even worth to spend anything at all; bit shabby and dated... The pool area at the hotel is gorgeous though, pics advertising absolutely reflect the truth! But be aware you need to buy a bathing cap at EUR 3 per guest. Never seem anything like that in a resort and still wondering what for... Third thing never experianced anywhere in a lifetime; breakfast is limited to TWO (!) eggs per person and it can only be scrambled eggs, the kitchen was generous enough to offer us fried eggs after insisting. Same applies for coffee, only one cup each is included in the room price and only one croissant each, we didnt bother to check about the other items but probably applies to all of them. Breakfast is served but no menu. Attention; you are not told about those restrictions in advance only once the second - chargable - serving arrives. Personally i find this not acceptable and inappropriate, the room prize would definately justify at least a refill of coffee. And btw even if you have to wait for the room to be ready, there was about half an hour delay, dont expect a welcome drink. The room is stunning, all appliances seem to be brand new, nice decoration in particular the barhroom. Fully equipped kitchen, lovely terrace. Clean room and comfortable shower towels. Property overall is well maintained, one day suddently the water supply was suspended. Service of staff is generally okay but not outstanding. Location is a bit off but that was what we opted for. Still if you dont mind a nice extended walk, the public beach can be reached by foot. Stunnimg views of the harbour right from the hotel, room & pool. Also walking distance a little kiosk / bar and our favourite restaurant in the area mama. Overall; not what we expected, not worth the money.

  Excellent resort

  Our second visit to the resort and both occasions have been excellent. We decided to go this year at relatively short notice so had to book two different apartments to cover the period of 10 days. The first was a superior mountain room view and the second a duplex. The mountain view room situated close to the marina club has a fantastic wraparound balcony which includes a large area facing the Marina club and marina, which was a great bonus. We asked for an umbrella and the hotel delivered which was much appreciated. The living area is great although the sofa bed is perhaps not ideal for older children who have to share. The main bedroom was spacious, lots of storage, bathroom had a big shower and lovely Ferragamo toiletries. The kitchen area is great, appliances and everything you need. The duplex we moved to for the last 6 days was perfect. Private entrance which you can lock, walking up to a first floor balcony with dining area overlooking the marina. Large sliding door entrance into a spacious and well presented kitchen/living room with a well sized bedroom and bathroom on the same floor. A terrace is also located off the bedroom. Stairs to the second floor where is a second bedroom, bathroom and further balcony facing the marina. Loved this apartment, loads of space, perfect setting, in the evening you can look out across the marina towards Elba. On a number of evenings there was live music at the resort restaurants, which adds to the great atmosphere. Weekends are busier and therefore advisable to book restaurants early. Although Zero Distanze has a good takeaway option - we ordered pizza, calamari, salads etc... and it was spot on. Food at Beccofino was very good as is the ice cream at Imposto and their bar does excellent sandwiches, drinks. All reasonable prices. Staff are friendly, we found it easier to simply email the reservation team if we had a query (umbrella) and they respond efficiently. The Marina Club pool area is a great way to spend hours doing very little. Two pools, lots of sun beds (well spaced out) although again, best to reserve the day before. Food and service is excellent. Staff are friendly. Swimming hat is required for the pool which they offer. Lots of good shops at the resort with the hand sanitisers, mask wearing that you would expect nowadays. The on-site supermarket is also very good. Would return to Resort Baia Scarlino tomorrow if we could.

  Great experience! Will definitely be back!

  The resort is located in front of an amazing marina. We came to italy to buy a boat and the boat is located in marina di scarlino. So this is the best option if you need to stay near the marina. The resort units are very spacious with terraces/balconies. Rooms are very spacious, linens are of the best quality. Everything inside the rooms is very modern and top quality. The kitchen has everything you need to be able to cook in if you want. Theres a big supermarket 5-10 mins away by car in the town of Follonica. The front desk personnel is very courteous and helpful. Simona has been amazing during our stay answering a lot of questions since this was our first time here. There are restaurants in the resort building where you can have breakfast and lunch. Because of covid all the restaurants are closed in the evening so you have to coordinate with them in advance. You also have the option to cook in your room as the kitchen is very well equipped. We will definitely be back!!!
