  Bait and Switch rooms, more Hostel than 4 star

  Booked a River View room, was told 2 days before arrival that it might not be available but that we would be given a hillside view room for $20 less per night. At check in , was charged full amount and given a parking lot view room. When I talked to manager and showed him a rate for an urban room, ($65 less per night) he said he would give us the lower rate and refund the balance. Supposed to stay for 3 nights, will check out after one. First pic below shows the room we booked (balcony) vs the room we were given (Second pic window behind tree). Third pic is our hillside view, fourth pic is one of the many dead spiders hanging from the windows. It also didnt feel very clean, more dogs than Ive ever seen at a hotel. Surprised it rates a 4 star.

  avoid this place...lousy customer service

  when departing, my wife overlooked and left her makeup bag. When home, she called the hotel and asked if they had found it. They said they did, and would be happy to return it. My wife was super pleased, and sent a postage-paid envelope for them to return it by mail. Days went by and no receipt of the package; my wife made no less than 10 follow up calls...always the same answer== the manager of housekeeping would send it. Days went by and no receipt. Made more calls, but this time no one would take her calls... So, there's no customer service here....!!!! Just avoid the place.

  Surgery

  RUN AWAY....the hallway floors look like they never get vacuumed.no amenities....the maid service that isn't yell from one end of the hall to the other ...I was there for a medical procedure,we had to find someone to get clean towels...we ask for a king size bed we got queen...the bedding felt like a throw rug it was so rough.the room was colder than the fridge...and then lets not mention the $ 50.00 early check in fee ...$ 25.00 parking a night.

  College Tour

  Our family of four stayed at the Rivers Edge Hotel for two nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had a riverside room on first floor and could see the river through the trees from our lovely balcony. There was a multi use paved path along the river which we enjoyed taking walks on. The fall leaves were beautiful! The room was spotlessly clean, large and comfortable even for four people. Although it lacked a microwave which was disappointing. We had to request a Keurig machine from front desk due to Covid precautions. Front desk staff were wonderful, super friendly and helpful. Covid precautions were taken very seriously. No breakfast is available but several cafes are in walking distance. The only minus was that we booked through Expedia and so we were not made aware of $25 day parking fee which was annoying.

  Great hotel and team!

  Love this hotel and the staff! Take advantage of the complimentary rental bikes and ride up the river to check out the city. Dillon from the sales team brought us an awesome amenity to our room to acknowledge my birthday and the front desk team was very helpful with any question we had.
