  Nice and like a local

  This little hotel is an old building in a suburb, but this adds to its charm. A comfortable although basic room, nice garden, good breakfast, very close to the university campus. Half an hour walking / a few bus stops from downtown. The only issue: Although my room had a nice view of neighbouring gardens, there are rooms below ground-floor level which only face a wall. Don't know if there is a price difference.

  The hotel was just okay, not more. Rooms are very simple but big, unfortunately there is no airconditioning in the room...so do not choose it if you plan your trip in summer.The breakfast was nice with good choise of cold dishes and some hot ones. The staff is also friendly, one girl even spoke Russian

  Simple and easy

  Not fancy at all but very serviceable. This hotel is about 30-45 minutes walk from the main part of town - I stayed there because I was attending a workshop at the nearby university. This means that there are not a lot of options for food or shopping and not much in the way of sights, unless you go across town. The room was plainly furnished, but large and pretty comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they let me check in immediately when I arrived from the airport in the morning - as I had traveled from the US to Europe on an overnight flight, this was very nice. Breakfast was tasty with nice fresh fruit, vegetables, and cheese, as well as the usual breads and cereals. Wifi was usable, but not terribly consistent.

  Mainz for one night

  The room was in the attic and the beds were where the roof sloped down so you could not sit up without banging your head. Room was clean and large but basic. breakfast was good but I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed and, after a very long drive, we had to go elsewhere to eat

  Good value for money, lovely service

  A cozy hotel in the middle of a suburb. The personnel/owners are lovely and very helpful, but do not expect luxury-business-class-service. It feels like a second home. The hotel-bar and hotel-restaurant get some local visitors too. Menu is simple but OK, you can choose between schnitzel schnitzel schnitzel steak and pasta. Rooms are fine too, a bit basic, but certainly great value for money!
