  Comfortable and a close to the Muslim Quarter

  The hotel is located along the West Road of Xian Inner City. Close by to shopping area and the Muslim Quarter. 5 min walk to the Drum tower. Hotel facilities is ok. Request for rooms not facing the main road as traffic can be heard from 6am onwards. Also request for higher floors as is it sharing the same building as a club, hence loud bass thumping could be heard all night. Wifi is available in lobby area and for room you have to request for the wifi dongle, which is limited. We were on a business trip and had to extend our stay and the checking in process is a bit of a hassle on every extension. Did not take breakfast package so wouldn't know much about food here.

  Good location

  hotel is in very good location everything is nearby . Room is very dark. Need some improvement about lighting. Very few staff speak English. We had hard time to explain to the staff. Staff need some training how to tackle the problem. When we came to hotel at midnight staff wan't accept the dollar and keep demanding Chinese currency. We had to wait hour and half to get the key. Room is ok.

  Good Hotel for Xi'An Visit

  We used this hotel as our base for a 3 day visit to Xi'An. The hotel is nicely appointed and very clean. We stayed on the 8th floor which is their non-smoking floor. There was no smell of smoke in our room. The room size was good and the two queen sized beds were comfortable. The light switches and controls are many and confusing. They do have a description in english, but their meaning is obscure and we figured out what they controlled by trial and error. The bathroom is new and very clean. It has a shower stall and care has to be taken to direct the shower head down so as not to have water all over the bathroom floor. There is a curious trend in bathrooms in China, there is a full-size window with a screen that can be raised and lowered so that others in the room can see directly into the whole bathroom. I am not sure why they build in the ability to see into the room or bathroom. Needless to say our screen stayed down all the time! Breakfast was included with our room. The choices were geared toward the Chinese guests, the quality of the food was decent. The tables are all 12-seat round tables, the table cloths and place mats were not changed, some were stained. Few staff spoke english, simple words and sign language (pointing at what we wanted) worked. The streets are filled with lots of fun things to see especially the night market in the Muslim Quarter. We walked to the city wall from the hotel and found that to be great experience. The Drum and Bell Towers are lit up beautifully at night -- they are also close to the hotel. We did make an overnight trip to the Huasan mountain. The hotel was willing to keep our luggage so that we did not have to lug them around. We were resuming our stay at the hotel after visiting Huasan.

  Unexpected great experience

  We spen there four nights with our two daughters. The hotel is an international option based at an interesting ancient/modern town. It couts with all the resources and services you need to keep your work updated. A part of the staff is lacking a fluent use of English, but they are always willing to help. Breakfast is good, although it is better in the oriental side than in the western one. Rooms are big and comfortable, counting with wired Internet connection (not WiFi)

  Not a friendly hotel

  Traveling with my wife and 11 year old son to see the Terra-cotta attractions. This is my fourth hotel in two weeks in China. I have nothing positive to say about the service of the staff. When we entered, the doorman did not smile or say hi. The front desk helped two other people that walked up after us, first. They did not make us feel welcome. We asked for a bar of soap and it never arrived. We asked for a third towel and were told we could only have two at a time. The housekeepers did not say hi or say anything back when I said thank you. The rooms floor was dirty when we first entered the room. I do not recommend this hotel and will stay here again.
