  Nice hotel, reasonable price, fancy with extras

  The hotel was very nice. They have a gourmet Japanese restaurant on the second floor. The room was a bit small but it was fancy and very nice. The staff were very nice and really tried to help in any way they could. The room came with breakfast, western or Japanese. Evey evening they have free snacks, with Japanese, whisky, sake, and wine.

  Elegant and quiet

  Hotel has a luxurious appearance, very quiet and peaceful. Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms were small but comfortable, quilt was a bit too warm for the time of year. Nice amenities, but no fitness centre. Breakfast was a combination of small buffet and hot option served at your table. Club room was really nice to come back to at the end of the day, and enjoy a complimentary drink and nibbles (hot rice with toppings, a couple of tapas, chocolate, nuts and veg crisps). Very good location, within easy walking distance of the train station and a good choice of restaurants offering different cuisines.

  Traditional elegance & great early evening drinks

  We stayed in Takamatsu mainly to visit the Ritsurin gardens - in our view the best strolling garden in Japan. The Royal Park is 30 mins walk away - so location great for us, and 1200 yen cab ride from station. You enter the foyer and has feel of traditional western style business hotel. Bedrooms reflect the style - with usual Japanese compactness, but all conveniences. Two things make this hotel special - the free drinks and canapés in the library. Delightful ambiance - and the wine was unusual very dry white Cote du Rhône. Fabulous wine - just what needed after 3 hours walking around garden. I could not have asked for more - made the stay totally delightful. Other great thing was the personal attention of the manager she was really helpful to us, advised good local restaurant, and gave detailed and accurate walking instructions. Made our stay in town very pleasant, and strongly recommend for others visit the garden.

  Superb and Very Art Deco

  One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in Japan and I have spent over 4 months there over the years. It is very Art Deco, if you like that, and the rooms and service are great especially the inclusive 'club' lounge with free food and nibbles at various times of day. If your on a budget you can pretty much skip at least one meal a day and just enjoy the lounge for a couple of hours :-)

  Anniversary celebration

  Good location Club lounges facilities enable to have snack time, happy hour drinks and breakfast. Silent atmosphere made you feel relax and comfortable. Amazing and wonderful breakfast made this trip unforgettable. Car park at ¥1200
