  Good hotel very new, lady owner is abit strange but could be the language barrier. Stayed for 7 night on our backpacking. My only gripe is that we were a over reception, no problem with the room at all, but the balcony door is a bit thin and the noise from the clubs 300m over the road in walking street was a bit noisey sometimes, ask for a room at the back. Good room. Good location. Next to central plaza were the have a food court where u can eat for the price of penuts with good food. Always somthing good to do in samui. One things is avoid long times in the water in chaweng beach. One person got stung a box jelly fish, they ended up fine but was obvious A scare and mad panic on the beach, but that's because of the time of year the water is still warm but cool enough for the Kelly's to come nearer to the shore. They do have warning signs up at the beach saying this If we teavel to Thailand and samui again will defo come back. Can't go wrong with £8.50 a night for a new double room!!! And we had a little gecko for one night, aparently good luck lol

  Blind room and noisy birds

  I just needed a transition room for a single night in Chaweng, picked this hotel because it seemed freshly renewed. The room was much cheaper at the reception than any "special last minute discount" online, good thing. I was so tired I didn't check the room before paying, I'm really not hard to please, all I needed was a good bed and a quiet place. There was no windows in the room, just a door to a kind of balcony, can make people clostrophobic. The bed had a spring mattress totally ruined, but ok, it reminded me staying at my grandmother's house. I didn't hear anything from the bars and clubs nearby, so could fall asleep quickly around 1am. But the reason I'm writing this review at 7am rather than sleeping is because I am awake since 6:30, when the owner's birds started their morning singing. I know it is a thaï tradition to have them, and their songs are very appreciated, there are even competitions about those, but taken individually, they are just very loud and high pitch, similar to a car alarm going off. Trying to chill out with the satellite TV, over 100 channels, not a single one in english. Since the rooms are tiny and blind, that there is nothing to enjoy at the hotel, and the noise make it impossible to sleep later than 7am, I really don't see the point of this place.
