  So just to be clear this hotel is not all that bad, but i think the owner of this hotel has a clear idea on what kind of hotel this would be. This is hotel only good for one thing and one thing only which is event venue (wedding especially). So it has a perfect garden, view to the sea (but no beach access), perfect swimming pool, great decor (some type of colonial- ish vibe) which all are good if you are planning to have a party. several things that i didn't like about this hotel, the spa is very limited either the short in staff or whatever (the spa is closed at 9PM, literally at 9 PM so last order is at 8PM), the food is tasteless and the worst off all check in process. Check in process took a so long since the staff is taking her time to explain that they request a deposit of IDR 1 million or if the customer does not wanted to make deposit all hotel service (room service, laundry, etc) must be paid up front. Dear Management just make up you mind will you, if you want to enforce a deposit just do it, don't make your guest spend their time listening to lengthy explanation. Now the worst part, i checked in on 7 of March and Covid 19 (Coronavirus) outbreak is the main headline across the globe, the check in staff lady is coughing all the time while explaining the deposit policy. I don't know what is the coughing was, might be nothing but come on! with all those hype on corona virus.....

  Fantastic & Magnificent Property

  We chose this hotel last minute on a whim as we needed to leave Alila Manggis (nearby) due to my vast disappointment on arrival at Alila. The Rumah Luwih was nothing short of breathtaking! We arrived in pelting rain & it only added to the romance of the property... I felt like we had pulled up to one of Ralph Laurens sprawling mansions or his Jamaican estate! The entrance, foyer, grand staircase & welcoming staff were a great start... beyond this it just kept getting better. The hallways, the lift, the foliage, the architecture... it truly tickled every whim of my visual senses & considering how cheap it was, I kept having to pinch myself!! The rooms were beautifully laid out, clean & spacious. The grounds, the pool, the outlook over the swan/duck occupied pond to the horizon of water was really gorgeous. Service was fantastic - they couldnt do enough for you & were so warm & lovely. Only downfall would be the food - breakfasts werent half as good as the breakfasts at Banyan Tree in Ungansan... but really, what could I possibly complain about in comparison to the price? Chalk & cheese. For the price, its an absolute steal! I went for a girls trip with my mother who also took advantage of the complimentary photo shoot we received as a gift - it produced some magazine worthy shots which we will always cherish! Thank you for a saving grace (grace being the operative word!) ending to our fabulous trip! We both remarked constantly on the hotels beauty & would definitely return... And Im very hard to please!

  Just so so

  View from pool side is beautiful Nice for outdoor event Location ideal , not crowd and noisy. Some leakage at stairs when raining, so becareful of slippery. The swimming pool water not seem interesting to swim The food taste is not so good

  unexpected place, very Cozy place for all of activities, Magnificent, luxurious rooms And The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank u tp rumah luwih. It has a beautiful view and there are many of the best photo spots.

  Rumah Luwih is a good place to hanging out with our family or friends, they have a good views, nice food, humble staff with good services. One more thing, I really enjoy being in the front area near the swimming pool with the cool air. Hopefully in the near future you can visit the luwih house again
