    Worst hotel ever!

we paid £1282.74 for a 7 night all-inclusive holiday to the hotel Saritas in turkey. This hotel was a complete nightmare and after having to spend £600 extra to eat out of the hotel for 4 people over the week is not a good sign for a 4 star rated hotel. So I would like to break this down. Staff:  The staff here did not speak English, sure they understood the language though! The staff were rude, dissmissive and arrogant. On one evening when I approached the bar and asked for 4 drinks for a party of 4 guests I was quite rudely told NO! This is Problem! my reaponse is we are all all-inclusive so why is this a problem. Not the service that you want to receive on a holiday when you have pre paid for everything. Drinks: Well what drinks! The bar only had local spirits and beer...when I say spirits there was 3...vodka gin whiskey. No cocktails no bottles of beer no bottles of water! All drinks were served in small 1/4 ounce glasses and then they say no to asking for 4! There is no bar menu..guess with such little effort and care they don't need it but not impressed. The pool bar was open till 21.00 and another bar was open from 19.30-22.00 after this time you can not get a drink in the hotel!  Snack bar: The snack bar does not look anything like the pictures in the brochure...yes food is cooked freshly there but was chips pasta bread and one meat! Not like the vibrant salads and food shown In the brochure! This was also only open from 11.00 till 14.00 Beach bar: Well this was an extra cost all inclusive or not! Only open 10.00 till 18.30 Pool: Well the pool is nice small for amount of people...don't expect a lounger or chair unless you put a towel on it a 7am. The pool also was closed off at 6pm everyday and was off bounds. The voucher says pools but only one!  Sports and leisure: Well the website lists many! But the only sport we saw was table tennis on an old broken table!  Free wifi....well that was only available on the s-bar terrace and was poor..slow and everyone cramed in one area trying to use it! Seeming though all bars closed at 10pm they had and underground nightclub..surely not meant to be there as not in the brochure either and the loud music pumping untill early hours of the morning right outside my hotel room. Shocking when you have an infant trying to sleep and 3 adults!  Rooms:  Well the rooms we saw on the website looked amazing with lovely brown throws and cushions and and large rooms and great shower facilities....well that is not what we got! I booked a double room with an extra bed for the baby...we got two single beds no extra bed! The room was small so had to store the cases in the bathroom! The bathroom was not what was advertised was extremely poor and was just a bath with a curtain and a sink and a loo! The second room I booked was meant to be a single...again had a double bed in and the world's smallest bath tub you could not even sit in! Definitely not what was shown in the brochure! To put the electric on you had to put you key thob in the slot! Well that's all go but when they give you only one and weld the ring with the door key and thob together you have to remove it every time you leave the room...meaning the fridge did not work as no power so can't store the baby milk or keep the A/C on. In the second room the light switch was built into the headboard of the bed so in the night the lights would come on if knocked...poor design!  Our room was only cleaned 3 times in a 7 night holiday! We would have to clean and remove rubbish from the room. Our door would just pop open even if locked...so had to hire a safety deposit box for valuables which cost 140 lira.  4 star hotel no room service! At all! Organisation: Everything seemed to be a mess we did not have a programme or leaflets for things to do. The only info we was given was about opening times and closing times. Restaurant: The restaurant was as the picture. But the food is not, it is mass produced buffet food. Extremely over cooked after getting a poorly stomach on day 2 and 3 I refused to eat any of the meat in the building and only ate bread and salad! The food is not 4 star and as a chef for 16 years I would rate it 2 star at a stretch a 3. Most of the food looked like leftovers i mean a Brussels sprout stew! Chicken was over cooked and dry and there was no decoration as shown in the brochure. Bread was a selection of loaves which we had to slice yourself...not good when 500 people have been touching it...cross contamination of bacteria! Those nice sliver pots pictured on the website to hold the spoons....not anymore just a plate...not 4 star at all! Confrontations: After the bar incident with asking for 4 drinks and being refused even though was sober and not abusive. I went to the reception to complain and ask to speak with a manager. The response I got was No English! No manager! And your leaving in a day...well that did not make us feel welcome and did not solve the problem in hand..how can there not be a manager on site!  If you do not speak Turkish or Russian you are screwed! The staff play ignorant and are not helpful at all!

If you only Speak English, Pick Another Hotel!!!

I was so excited to go away with my Son who is 16! This was our first abroad holiday together for 11 years and a Surprise for him finishing his GCSE's. On looking for the holiday i was concentrating on trying to find a 4* Hotel as I wanted us to be 'treated'. The online pictures of this Hotel looked amazing and the food etc looked great.......How deceiving were those!! The Room we were given was dissapointing. The floor felt slippy under foot and the sliding door to the balcony did not lock. The shower kept flooding onto the bathroom floor and the toilet seat kept sliding off.....There was no facilities to make a drink in the room, i.e no kettle, tea bags, bottles of water on arrival etc. However there was a fully working fridge!!!! This might be a very English thing to expect but for a 4* hotel i thought a hospitality tray would be a basic?? The food was Very samey and we ended up eating the same thing day, after day, after day....... The best thing they did was their breads!! However, The reason we went All Inclusive was because i had a very tight budget so hadnt planned/allocated money for eating out every night so just had to make do!! My son ended up with a Tummy upset on day 3/4 and was in bed while he recovered. The rather small pool area (for the size of the hotel) had a 'D.J' playing music from 10am until 5pm and the speaker for this was right outside our room window. Not great when you have someone poorly trying to get better.......Not amazing music either!! I had to also go down to reception to ask for more toilet roll which took an age as they couldn't understand what i was asking for. I ended up playing a wierd game of charades.......Bit embarrasing!! There is no information of what to do in the area and as a first time visitor to turkey, i feel this would have been of great benefit!! Plus the Hotel only had one evening of really good entertainment then the rest of the week was just the D.J from the pool playing more music for the littles ones to dance around too!! Shame really as the outside entertainment space they have could be much better utilised!! The staff at the hotel were pleasant enough but with only a handful of them speaking VERY limited English it was hard to converse with any of them. The only easy interaction we had was to order our drinks at the bar. These were, again, very limited!! I was hoping to be able to get a Cocktail (or two) but the only options were Local Spirits (Vodka, Gin or Rum), 1 Type of Lager/Beer and soft drinks. This again i found dissapointing. Going back to the pool......As i said before, this is very small for the number of guests at the hotel and closing this off at 6/6:30 seemed a bit daft, especially as most of the guests cannot get a lounger until very late in the day as unless you creep down about 10:30pm the night before to put ur towels down they are all taken by the morning!! Also i would urge anyone staying to take alot of extra care on the steps by the childrens water slide after they have had it on for the alloted 2, half hour slots!! (11-11:30 & 4-4:30). The extra water on the steps leading down to the outside toilets become lethal and even though i was holding onto to railing going down i ended up aquaplaning off the steps and severely bruising my back/bum and arm. I didnt report it at the time as i felt no one would understand what i was trying to say (please refer to the toilet roll comment) and as it was the last but one day i thought i would see my GP when i got home. He inevitably sent me for xrays as the bruising was so severe, Luckily no fractures though. So i really do advise extreme caution on these steps. There is however a positive that i would like to finish on. The beach area was actually lovely!! There is a small charge attached but this is minimal, We paid just 4 euors (Approx 20 lira/£3.50) for 2 loungers/matress and parasol, which you can reserve for the day and come and go as you please (Just leave your towel there) Also a beer on the beach is only 12 lira which works out about £1.90!! I would definately go back to Turkey as i feel there is a lot more to explore, and our experience was clouded by a bad choice of accomodation, so i would totally pick another hotel!!! I was willing to give this place the benefit of the doubt as you always feel that people will always Review/Point out the negatives instead of highlighting the positives but the reviews on this resort are spot on!! Unless you speak Russian or Turkish i would avoid and look for an different hotel!!

DO NOT book to stay here

This hotel is an absolute joke. By far the worst hotel Ive stayed at. Rubbish WiFi, staff are a joke. And the worst food you could possibly find. After eating here once we never ate there again. There are plenty of places in the town that do amazing food unlike this tragic place. The rooms are small and so outdated. The bathroom is actually comically. You can wash your hands, have a shower and be on the toilet all at the same time... thats how small it is. The only plus side is that the location is brilliant to get to the beach and town centres

Best place to spoil your vacation

Its the worst place in the city. Stuff is rude and not respectful, inventing there own rules on the fly. Behaving as its 6star luxury resort not even being 1 star. Never seen such it in my entire life.
